Fettuccine with Bacon-Clam Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2009
This recipe was very tasty. My boyfriend enjoyed it which means it was a good recipe since he is the pickiest eater in the WORLD. I used extra clam juice and extra minced garlic (we looove garlic). The heavy cream made the sauce very thick.. we're gonna try using light cream or maybe half & half next time. I do think this recipe needed something.... so I will be adding some shrimp to the pasta next time. I'm sure it'll turn the dish from good to great. :)

This was pretty good except for the fact that the lobster was a little overcooked.

Caroline's Chocolate Fudge Frosting

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2009
So simple and SOO good! Used it on the "Black Chocolate Cake" recipe (as suggested from another reviewer). A put a generous layer of frosting on the cake and then dusted some confectioner's sugar on top. Looks like it took lots of hard work and time but both recipes were so easy!

Chicken Creole

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2009
This dish was very tasty and so simple! I did alter the recipes by adding some italian seasoning and a LOT of cayenne (by accident!) but it really did tie the dish together. I didn't have an 8x11 pan so I used a 9x13 pan. I also baked it in the oven for 40 minutes because I wanted to be sure the chicken was done. It was a bit dry so next time I'll try 35 minutes. I'll definitely be making this again.

Pan Seared Lemon Tilapia with Parmesan Pasta

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2009
Absolutely loved it. I like how it was very light but flavorful. I think the lemon with the pasta gave it a nice zest. I also liked how simple the whole dish was. I did add a bit of old bay to the fish (me and my boyfriend LOVE old bay) and I didn't have fresh parmesan cheese so I used the kraft grated cheese... next time I'll definitely buy the fresh cheese, it would have probably made this dish ten times better!!!

Grilled Delmonico Steaks

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2009
Tried this last night and it was AMAZING. Me and my boyfriend both agree- best steak we've made YET! Although I did alter the recipe a bit. I was out of minced garlic so opted for Garlic Powder with Parsley instead (also added a little extra since we LOVE garlic). My boyfriend hates onions so I left them out. I'll be trying this again with the minced garlic but I think the garlic powder gave it a better taste. :)

SOOOO fattening and bad for you but SOOO good!!! My boyfriend LOVED this dish, which is excellent since he is a picky eater. A pretty simple recipe but it makes an impressive dish. Definitely a keeper :)

Pineapple Upside-Down Cake V

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2009
I just finished baking this cake.. I've never made a Pineapple Upside-Down Cake so I think it came out pretty good for a first time. Kudos to the simple recipe.. I followed one of the reviewers tips and was checking the cakes after about 25 minutes... ended up baking them for a total of 35 minutes and after putting the top layer on it started cracking!! A little peice fell off and I ate it and mmmmmm the cake is WONDERFUL!! Anyway, I put the pan back on the top layer because reveiwers were saying it stops the cracking so we'll see... But next time I think I'll bake them for the recommended 40-50 minutes...
