Great because I omitted the sugar and used condensed milk, jalapeno mustard, and added olives and pickles. A success!

Such a good base! however I did use one can diced tomatoes and a small tin of diced green chilies in loo of tomato sauce. I also cooked the onion with the turkey in the skillet. Made the blue corn corn bread to go with it and my boyfriend LOVED IT! Thanks

Colleen's Slow Cooker Jambalaya

awesome! I did saute everything (veggies and meat) with bacon fat before hand. Then took out the fat and added just the bacon. Added in a bag of mixed seafood about 1/2 hour left of cooking and added a cup of rice about 1 hour before it was done. My boyfriend LOVED it!

My boyfriend, a very picky eater, loves this bread. Even using way less sugar it still turned out awesome. modification: * I used A little more than 1 1/2 cups gluten free flour mix * less than 1/3 cup 'Sugar in the raw' turbinado sugar filled the rest of the cup with maple syrup *added less than half bag choc. chips. *4 large, over-ripe bananas * a bit of cinnamon, nutmeg and pumpkin spice Toasted with a bit of tea/coffee...sweet!!

Persimmon Pudding

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2014
So great! I actually used 3 sugars (brown, cane, and coconut) which equaled 1 1/2 cups. Totally enough sugar! I didn't have enough flour so I substituted 1/2 cup flour with blue-corn flour. I tried mixing it every 15 minutes, but really I didn't mind it being a bit cakey.-- made homemade vanilla whip-cream to go with it and it is awesome!! I don't see it going wrong no matter what you do to it. Thanks!

Parmesan Crusted Tilapia Fillets

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2013
Awesome! But it may be because I added a few ingredients. I didn't have fresh herbs of any kind...so, I added grounded ginger, a little oregano, and some tarragon as well as paprika, salt and pepper. The BF loved it!!

Okra, Chicken and Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2013
A great base recipe. This turned out great because I added my own Cajun seasoning to it, as well as a bunch of garlic salt, oregano, thyme, salt and pepper. Boyfriend loved it...drumsticks didn't cook on it... I later pan-fried them--otherwise 350 for an hour works well. 1/2 a bag of frozen okra was more than enough

Quinoa Black Bean Burgers

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2013
such a great base recipe. I didn't have any bell peppers and just used what I had and chopped it up finely (carrots, potatoes, green onion, onion)....cooked the quinoa using chicken stock. Added cooked bacon to the mix. Made some guacamole on the side and used it as a topper. It was a major hit!!

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2013
This turned out awesome and my BF loved it!! Of course I brushed the pie crust with egg whites and again brushed some on top. And added tons of seasoning: fresh rosemary, dried sage, thyme, herbs de provence, garlic salt, onion powder, salt and pepper. seasoning once when cooking onions and again after all veggies and chx were mixed. Definitely will make again.

Blue Corn Cornbread

This bread came out so light and fluffy. Such a nice change from the regularly dense corn bread of the norm. However, I used demerara sugar in stead of white sugar and came out super delicious. Thanks.
