Grandma's Sour Cream Pound Cake

2 cups of butter just seemed like wayyy too much to me, so I cut mine back to 2 sticks. It came out brilliantly and I already have requests for more! We take slices of the cake, toast them in the toaster oven and put peanut butter on top. It's delicious!

Red Velvet Cake IV

I made a double batch of this for a friend's get well party and made a two-layer rectangular cake out of it. A single of the frosting was actually enough to frost both cakes. The flavor was exquisite, and the texture was just wonderful. The frosting was a hit too. Highly recommended.

Peanut Butter Banana Bread

This is marvelous, flavorful, moist and dense bread. My wife and I made it in wide mouth Mason jars and it took about 35 minutes to bake. It came out wonderfully!

Old Fashioned Strawberry Pie

I followed the recipe except I made it into 5 mini-pies because I like to give them away to people. It came out just great, not too runny, sweet but not too sweet. I used my own home made pie crust, and a friend told me it was the best strawberry pie he's ever had!

Old Fashioned Pineapple Upside-Down Cake

I made this for my dad's birthday. Pineapple upside-down cake is his favorite of all time. Followed the recipe exactly and it came out wonderfully! Between me, my wife and my parents, it didn't last two days!

Roasted Vegetables and Puff Pastry

Very nice recipe! I wanted something to test out my home-made puff pastry recipe and this was perfect for that. I used potatoes as well as the recommended pepper mix and so had to roast the veggies a little longer than suggested, about 20 minutes. My wife and I both give this a thumbs-up!

Key Lime Pie I

This was the first key lime pie I ever made, and it turned out so easy and delicious. In fact, one of my good friends said it was the best key lime pie he's ever had! Whipping the cream for the topping was easy with my stand mixer, but boy did my fingers hurt after squeezing all those key limes. :-)

Apple Stuffed Chicken Breast

Excellent recipe. My wife and I like things extra spicy, and we didn't have any Italian-style breadcrumbs, so we just broke up a crust of some homemade bread and added a bit of curry powder which worked out great. Don't even thinking about using a poor cheese. There isn't much, but you can really taste it, so get the good stuff!

Garlic Chicken And Grapes

I found this recipe on my iPod using the "dinner spinner" application, and we decided to try it. Boy am I glad we did. We used balsamic instead of white wine vinegar because that's what we had. It came out great.
