Cream Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2010
Mine tasted like sweet cornbread for some reason. Not sure why since I didn't use cornmeal! I'll pass on these. Thanks anyway!

Emma's Belgian Waffles

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2010
These were great! I used 1/4 cup cornstarch like another reviewer did and added an additional 1/4 cup of milk. I also froze a few and reheated them in the toaster and they were great! Thanks for sharing!

Mmm-Mmm Better Brownies

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2010
Fantastic! I've made Brooke's Bombshell Brownies in the past but this one is WAY better. It has just the right amount of sugar and chocolate flavor. Thanks for sharing. This is now my go to brownie recipe!

Dog Treats I

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2010
Wow! I couldn't believe my dogs loved these! I did alter it which I normally don't do on recipes but I know that cornmeal isn't good for dogs so I found some brown rice flour in the pantry, (don't ask me why I had that in there), and replaced the cornmeal with that. I also omitted the sugar just because I didn't feel they would miss it. I didn't have bouillon granules so I used some "Better Than Bouillon" that I had leftover in the fridge. I'm going to try this with an egg subsitute next time. I also think I'll roll this to a 1/4" thick next time because they rise a bit and it was almost still to "soft" to be a biscuit like consistancy which is why I think some reviewers said they had mold after a few days. It was almost like a soft cookie/bread texture. I'll repost my results soon!

Country White Bread

Great bread recipe. I halved it & it was delicious! Light, fluffy & a great texture. My kids gobbled it right up (with a little help from me, of course)! Thanks for a great bread recipe.

Pie Crust IV

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2010
I didn't like this crust. I read other reviews and tried half butter, half shortening but I still didn't like the taste. I have another recipe that works better for me. Thanks for sharing anyway.

White Chocolate and Cranberry Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2009
Made these with vanilla instead of brandy. They were ok. I think it's the brown sugar to white sugar ratio that's off. I know that it's not the ingredients I used because I used a high quality white chocolate and craisins which I love. I also agree with another reviewer that they didn't taste that great the first day but was a little better the next day. Maybe tomorrow they'll be GREAT!

Brooke's Best Bombshell Brownies

These were good. I'm not a huge fan of the sugar so I'll probably keep looking.

Marshmallow Fondant

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2009
I LOVE THIS STUFF! So easy to make, tastes great, easy to work with. My only change was using shortening instead of butter and no vanilla (I didn't think it was missed at all). I will definately be using this recipe on all my fondant cakes. Thanks!

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2009
Although I make this at least every other week(BTW, my husband normally hates chicken but he loves this recipe) I don't bake it. I make the sauce, marinate the chicken in it for about 20 min. or so in the fridge while the grill warms up and then grill it. I don't baste the chicken on the grill. I disguard the sauce once I've put all the chicken on the grill. I agree with everyone about doubling up on the sauce. I also serve the chicken cut up over a bowl of white rice. DELISH!!!!

Yeah, I liked the flavor but it was really sticky. Almost like a muffin but not quite. I don't think I'll be making this again. Thanks anyway!

Mrs. Sigg's Fresh Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2009
WOW! I've NEVER had fresh pumpkin pie and I LOVED IT! It's so light and creamy. Not dense like the canned stuff. I love the fact that I can taste pumpkin! I did use my own seasoning because I'm not a pumpkin pie spice fan. I just did 2 tsp. of cinnamon and 2 tsp. of nutmeg. It was delish!

Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2009
I'm kind of torn with this one. My mom liked it but she likes anything with pumpkin. I liked the flavors but not the texture. It was almost too "muffin top" for me. Great flavor though!

Ryan's Favorite Beans

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2009
This was actually really good and I don't even like beans. I made this originally for my husband and he really liked it so I just had to try it and was pleasantly surprised at the fact that I liked it! It was a lot though. I put half in a freezer bag to use with another meal later. Thanks for the easy meal!

Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2009
This was a good sugar cookie icing to work with. I tried one before it dried (I'm super impatient) and it tasted weird but once it dried, the flavor was ok. I don't like almond extract so I used vanilla so that could be why. I'm going to try peppermint or lemon next time. Thanks!

Creamy Hot Cocoa

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2009
I took the advice of others and cut the sugar back to 1/2 cup and am glad I did. It was perfect! I forgot to add the vanilla extract but it was good without it. I'm going to try it with peppermint extract next time. Thanks!

Garlic Shrimp Linguine

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2009
I made this for dinner tonight & it was great. I put 2 crushed garlic cloves in the pasta water while it cooked and the pasta absorbed that great garlic flavor (I made sure I took those garlic cloves out before tossing the pasta with the garlic butter sauce). I didn't have any parsley and used a little more cheese than called for. I also just tossed in pre-cooked colossal sized shrimp at the same time that I started to toss the pasta and garlic butter sauce. I'll be making this again. What a great, quick, and easy meal that tastes like you got it from a restaurant! Thanks Stacey!

Whipped Cream

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2009
I'm giving this 4 stars because it definitely needed more than 1TB. of sugar in my opinion but of course I'm a "cool whip" gal. I used about 4TB. and I had clear vanilla on hand so I used 1 1/2 tsp. of that. I didn't chill the beaters or bowl basically because I forgot but it still worked. I'll use this recipe from now on instead of buying whipped topping from the store.

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2009
Not a huge fan of this. I thought I would be but it just wasn't moist enough for me. I usually use Cherrybrook Kitchen's Chocolate Cake Mix and I love that it's moist and very chocolaty but this recipe just didn't deliver that same rich, chocolate goodness like I'd hoped. It could have been just me though. I'll try this recipe again in the future and repost.
