Shoyu Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2011
This was wonderful. The only ingredient I didn't have on hand was the fresh ginger so I used powdered. We will make this again and again!!

Seasoned Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2011
We've tried many other seasonings for turkey burgers and these were the best of all. No mods to recipe and they were perfect right off the grill.

Crispy Baked French Toast

Reviewed: May 22, 2011
It was absolutely delicious!! I added 1 tsp cinnamon to the egg mixture, otherwise as written. This is the best way to serve individual french toasts to a group. We will make this often!

Tater Tot Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2011
The custom version by Mary Shawhan is just wonderful...basic, easy and very tasty!! DH and I made 1/2 a recipe and will make the other 1/2 in a few days. The ONLY mod I did was white onion instead of green. The garlic was a great addition!

Oh so easy and oh so good! Took it to a party and got compliment after compliment. I only altered the almonds on top...didn't have slivered so toasted whole almonds and coursely chopped them. I will definitely make this again.

Cranberry Orange Relish with Orange Flavored Liqueur

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2010
Just like Gram'ma used to make!! She used a crank grinder but the ingredients are the same. We didn't like all the orange peel in it tho so used only about 1/4 of the peel. We just bought cranberries yesterday to make a couple of batches again this year!! We also add apple, nuts, pineapple... anything that sounds good!! Happy Holidays to all !!

Broccoli Chicken Divan

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2010
My DH missed having lots more crust but still ate two big helpings. Made 1/2 the recipe for the two of us, using more soup per other reviews. I didn't have any dry bread crumbs so used crushed shredded wheat cereal....which was awesome btw. Oh and instead of boiling chicken used torn pieces off the already roasted chicken from the market. Will definitely make this over and over again.

Rice Pudding (Kheer)

Reviewed: May 28, 2010
I halved the recipe. I only had fat free milk and some 1/2 & 1/2...so used half of each totalling 4 cups. I used level 1/2 tsp cardamom...I love that flavor. Didn't have any rose water so I used a scant 1/2 tsp vanilla...figured it couldn't hurt....it was fine. Did not soak rice per other reviewers but did cook per recipe the whole 70 minutes covered and it came out perfect!!

Juicy Roasted Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2010
I agree with the majority this is awesome!! DH says "it was perfect, just perfect". The only mod was that we only had onion salt so we just added pepper with it. BTW - we had a 5.3 lb chicken. It cooked 2 hrs at 350 degrees. We will definitely bake this again.

Lower Fat Banana Bread II

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2010
Made this exactly as recipe. Per other reviewers I also would add a tad more sugar next time altho I did use 'no sugar added' applesauce so that may have made the difference.

Made exactly like recipe and it was great. Next time I think I'll use a little more butter in the topping.

Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2009
We were unexpectedly out of our favorite packaged pancake mix so I looked up 'pancakes' here and WOW....we don't even need our old mix anymore...these were exceptionally good. We mixed the milk and vinegar first and by the time we had the dry ingredients ready the milk was thick and ready to pour in. You won't be sorry you tried these!!

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2009
We made this last night and there are no leftovers. At some reviewers suggestion I did add 1/2 can of cream of chicken soup to the sauce for volume. Other than that...to the letter. DH says no other will do after this!!

This is my new favorite. I've made them twice in one week. The 2nd time I reduced the eggs to 3...still wonderful...and we like to add walnuts. I will make this over and over again.
