Amy's Delicious Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2013
There just aren't enough stars to say how much my family loved these burgers. I doubled the recipe. I didn't have minced onion so on a whim I added one package of dry onion soup mix. I cooked them in a dry non stick skillet instead of grilling them. The mix felt much more moist than I expected but the burgers came out fabulously. I tried this recipe several days ago and my family is still talking about them. Thanks for sharing!!

Anna's Amazing Easy Pleasy Meatballs over Buttered Noodles

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2012
Wow this is amazing!! You really couldn't have asked for an easier, more tasty recipe. This was a huge hit with my family. I made the recipe exactly to specifications and it was delish except that I mistakenly only bought four pounds of meatballs so it was pretty saucy! Since we are sauce lovers this was perfect. Realistically it served six good eaters but would have easily made enough for 10-12 with the other two pounds of meatballs. I may try it with cream of mushroom soup next time just to see how that may turn out. Thank you for such a yummy recipe that I will be making time and time again!!

Special Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2010
Great recipe! It tasted just like my favorite bakery. I used this to fill and frost two nine inch rounds adn I thought this might be a little too much for what I needed so I decided to cut the recipe in half. As it turns out, half was perfect! We are a frosting loving family and I was able to be pretty generous. Also, I could not find clear vanilla extract so I used the darker color that I had and it was still stark white. I will absolutely use this recipe over and over. Thanks for sharing!

Chocolate Ganache

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2010
Excellent recipe - I used one entire bag of semi sweet chocolate chips (which was 12 oz) and crushed them to tiny pieces in my food processor. Since I used more chocolate, I also increased the heavy cream to 1 1/2 cups. The recipe worked out beautifully! I would definitely recommend trying this one out. Next time I will try to beat it into a fluffy frosting as suggested by other users as well.

Sweet Corn Cake

Reviewed: May 4, 2010
Let me just say....WOW! If you've had this at your favorite Mexican restaurant and always wanted more, now is your chance. This is so yummy and relatively simple to make. A couple of suggestions...when it says to cover the pan with foil, cover it tightly and when cooling, leave the foil on so it stays moist. Also, I used a full can of corn (drained) instead of the frozen and it worked beautifully. I will make this recipe over and over again. Thanks for sharing!!

Slow Cooker Carnitas

Reviewed: May 3, 2010
Good recipe. I used a 4lb pork roast and did just about triple the seasoning mix (although I did only use the 1/4 cup of cinnamon which I will omit altogether next time). I also used only about a cup and a half of the chicken broth which was even a little more than needed because the pork let off a ton of it's own natural juices. When it was finished cooking, I let it cool in the crock pot for about 30 minutes and then cut it into pieces and put it in a 400 degree oven for a couple of minutes until it was just crisped up on the outside. I will definitely make this again. Thanks PopRocks!

Honey Walnut Shrimp

Reviewed: May 2, 2010
This is a fabulous recipe. I followed it exactly as written except that I used far less oil for frying. My husband and son both agreed that it tasted just like the Honey Walnut Shrimp that we get from our favorite restaurant. Serving suggestion = add a small handful of thawed peas in for added flavor and color. - Thanks Celia for a great recipe!

Seafood Enchiladas

Reviewed: May 7, 2009
My family raved about this recipe. I made minor substitutions. I used pepper jack cheese and large corn tortillas. Excellent! Thank you for publishing this! We will definitely make it again and again!
