About this Cook
i am a grandma and have been cooking since is was 12. about 30+ years. i you are looking for something i may have it!
My favorite things to cook
from scratch! i love to cook and experiment. dont be afraid to try it! if it doesn't turn out dont make it that way again.
My favorite family cooking traditions
everyone in the kitchen helping. children are never to young to help even when toddlers give them a big plastic bowl and a wooden spoon to bang with!
My cooking triumphs
making gravy! i always cooked everything else so while i was busy my sister would make the gravy. my husband made the gravy for years but now i do too!
My cooking tragedies
i had to work one night so i found this chicken and rice recipe that sound good. i mixed it up put it in the oven and told my family when to take it out. when i came home it smelled horrible. they informed it it wasnt bad once you to past the smell! they ate it! but never made it again.

Waffles I
tried this as is. I was looking for a waffle mix not a glorified pancake mix and this is it! I like mine a little sweeter so next time I will double the sugar and make the mix a little thinner. over all though you cant go wrong with this mix. thanks for sharing. as a side note this mix can double as a hot cake mix would be perfect!
