Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2009
These cookies are absolutely delicious! I am a big fan of ginger and these are simply mouth watering! Instead of using margarine i used butter and for the white sugar I used 1 cup brown sugar. I did not pack in the sugar because I didn't want them to be too sweet. I also omitted rolling the dough in the 2 tablespoons of sugar and baked them for only 9 minutes. They turned out great!

Sweet Potato Pie I

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2009
Delicious! It was my first time making sweet potato pie, and this recipe was fantastic! Instead of using 1 cup white sugar I used 1/2 cup brown sugar. I don't like my desserts too sweet. I also used only 1/4 cup of butter instead of 1/2 cup. It turned out to be just right for me!

Perfect Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2009
This really is perfect! I just made it a couple of hours ago for dessert. My mom loved it; she even asked for a second serving! The only thing I changed was instead of using 1 tsp. of cinnamon I used 1/2 tsp. Delicious!

Pancakes

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2009
This is such a great starter recipe! I was running low on Bisquick mix when I was making pancakes this morning. I was able to use the Bisquick mix I had and add in 1/2 cup of the self rising flour. They turned out great!

Strawberry Vanilla Pancakes

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2010
This recipe turned out to be a disaster! I followed every measurement and all of the instructions but my pancakes turned out very thin, and they weren't even fluffy! The bottom of the pancakes were kind of watery also. I will NOT be trying this recipe again!

Garlic Parmesan Monkey Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2010
This bread turned out to be okay. I used 2 cans of refrigerated bisuits instead of the frozen bread. I also added 2 tsp. of garlic powder. I think this recipe called for too much butter because in the middle of the bread I could see the excess butter floating on top of the bread. This is a good recipe, but I think next time I will use less butter. Other than that the bread was very tasty!

Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2010
Awesome recipe! It made the kitchen smell sooo good during the day. I made this for dinner one night and my mom and sister loved it. My mom ate her sandwich with some garlic ranch dressing on top and added some lettuce. I had mine with cheese. I love how easy this is to prepare!

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough + Cupcake = The BEST Cupcake. Ever.

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2010
Awesome cupcakes! I made these for a friend for her birthday and kept a couple for myself since they turned out so yummy! I would recommend freezing the cookie dough for about 2 and a 1/2 hours. That way you are guaranteed that the cookie dough will not melt when you bake the cupcakes. I only baked my cupcakes for 18 minutes. They turned out to be super!

One Egg Lemon Pound Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2010
I used one member's recommendation to use cake flour instead of all purpose. It was so moist! I cut the sugar in half so it wasn't too sweet. I baked it for about 35 minutes. It turned out just right for me!

Apple Crumble Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2010
I felt like this recipe was missing something. It was very tasty but it didn't satisfy my craving. I added some nuts to the topping which gave it a very nice crunch. It was a pretty good pie though.

Snickerdoodles III

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2010
I am a big fan of snickerdoodles, but this recipe is not a keeper. I will not be using this recipe again. My cookies came out a little too dry. I think the oven temperature needs to be turned down to 375. They also didn't spread out and stayed in mounds. I also reduce the sugar from 1 1/2 cup to 1 cup. The cookies were just okay nothing special.

S'mores Crumb Bars

So delightful!! I didn't add the 1/3 cup sugar into the graham cracker mixture. I didn't want it to be too sweet. It smelled wonderful coming out of the oven! I attacked it as soon as it was cooled. Delicious!!
