Marshmallow Peanut Butter Dip

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2011
This dip is okay...isn't amazing or anything. Noone really ate it at my son's birthday party. Plus, even after using "fruit fresh" and a little orange juice, the apples set out to dip into it still turned brown. Didn't even try bananas for that same reason. Would be a good filling to add mini choc chips too, pour in a pre-made graham cracker crust and top w/cool whip for a fast, easy dessert.

Fudge Puddles

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2011
It's only getting 3 stars bc the recipe for the "fudge" is horrendous. I'd made chocolate covered cherry cookies w/a similar recipe, so I knew[through trial & error] not to use as much sweetened condensed milk as stated.... was still wayyyyy too gooey, and artificial tasting. Don't waste your time w/the fudge recipe.... if you have choc chips on hand just melt em and pour it in the middle or something. The cookie recipe however, is amazing!! Great base for ANY filling. I'll prob use reese's pb cups next time, or hershey kisses for an easier, less time consuming recipe.

Candy Cane Fudge

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2011
i love peppermint, but this just tasted plain artificial. It wasn't good... at all. Maybe it was bc I used candy canes instead of the starlite mints, I dunno. I know that I won't attempt to make this again though.

Best Ever Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2011
Great recipe! followed another reviewer's tip, and substituted the applesause for the oil. And baked on 350 for 50 min, but middle was not done, so I turned it down to the original 325 and baked for another 15min. I made a double batch, so made a loaf and muffins(350 for 15min). I mixed walnuts, sugar, cinnamon, & baking raisins and then sprinkled those on top of the muffins. Could have gone without adding the extra sugar to the top of those though. This is a sweeter recipe than my grandmothers, &def not as good, but still can hold it's own!

Candy Cane Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2010
I am new to yeast dough, so I really should be giving this a low rating bc the comment in the recipe description "lightly flour" did not apply when i made this. The dough was extreeeemely sticky and wet, and required aLOT of flour and some kneading to work in the flour. I'm not sure if the dough acquired moisture throughout the night in the fridge, or if I should have added extra flour to begin with, but difficult dough to say the least. HOWEVER.... it was all well worth it! It was amazing! I used raspberry jam(seedless) and made a sugar glaze. Everyone loved it. The candy cane shape didnt turn out so well, but it's my first time working with dough like this. Ugly but toooo diiiie for!!! Will absolutely make again!

Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2010
My husband and I love this... it's made for every tailgating event, or when friends get together. It's definitely a crowd pleaser! Recently though, I took the time to compare the ingredients in the buffalo sauce vs the hot sauce, and the only thing different is paprika, garlic, and butter flavor is added to the buffalo sauce. I obviously have no clue how much of each is added, but I'm going to give it a shot as the hot sauce it cheaper. Thanks for the recipe!

Cheesy Spinach Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2010
I really needed an idea to use spinach and artichokes in something other than a dip. This person was on the right track. Definitely needed another dimension of flavor to it, so I added diced tomatoes. Also, sauteed garlic, onion, and mushrooms in EVOO, added italian seasonings as well. I used half of a package of spinach and it was plenty! I also substituted mozzerella for the monterey jack, and nixed the paprika. Oh, aaand used mostaccoli instead of spaghetti. Tasted amaaaazing!!
