Tanya's Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2011
Mmmmm...yummy! I wanted some easy Christmas cookies to give out, and these were perfect! To make them look more Christmas- like, I rolled them in green, red, and white sprinkles, and then followed by the cinnamon/sugar mixture. My kids kept gobbling them up, I was afraid I wouldn't have enough to give out!!

Oaxacan Tacos

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2009
These are truly delicioso! I am blessed to have a grocery store that makes fresh corn tortillas everyday, so it really added to the authenticity of them. My husband's favorite way to heat the tortillas is to omit the pan (and the oil) and place the tortilla directly on the burner. (If you do this be careful to have a low flame and use a tongs to turn the tortilla). My husband and I eat them exactly as stated in the recipe, but for the kids I make a ‘taco bar’ and have shredded lettuce, sour cream, tomato, and cheese for them to add. Everyone leaves the table with happy and full tummies!

Vanilla Crepes

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2009
Heavenly! I used 3 whole eggs and the batter was perfect! I think it would have been too thick with only egg yolks. (Everything else I followed exactly.) My favorite way to prepare these is to smother jam on them, roll 'em up, drizzle on some melted butter, and sprinkle powdered sugar on top! So delicious!!

Blueberry Cream Muffins

Reviewed: May 17, 2009
Yum,yum, yummy! I used a dark pan, so I lowered the oven temp to 350 and baked for about 20 minutes. I used about 2 1/2 cups of blueberries and they came out great, so soft and moist. It made 24 full size muffins and about 15 mini muffins. I am going to freeze them in individual packets, so on rushed mornings I can pull one out, throw it in the microwave an enjoy. This will be my blueberry muffin recipe from now on!!

Slow Cooker Beef Roast

Reviewed: May 15, 2009
I love making this on a busy day. Throw all the ingredients in the slow cooker in the morning and sit down to a nice homemade dinner in the evening! It always comes out tender and juicy.(It's also a nice change from a regular roast beef recipe.) It has a really nice smokey yet mild bbq taste to it. The sauce was especially good over rice.

Pan Sauteed Chicken with Vegetables and Herbs

Reviewed: May 15, 2009
This recipe was simple, healthy, and delicious! Adding lots of fresh crushed garlic complimented the other seasonings and gave the chicken, potatoes, and veggies a wonderful flavor. My ten year old enjoyed it so much he kept trying to sneak more of it off his siblings' plates!
