Blue Cheese Beef Tenderloin

Reviewed: May 13, 2009
love this sauce, and it's so simple. i'm going to make less next time, because there's always a bit too much for four people.

Grilled Tuna Teriyaki

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2009
Delicious marinade! I pan fried the tuna with a small drizzle of oil for 3 minutes per side. That left the steaks pink in the middle, with great flavor and texture.

Chicken Fiesta Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2009
Very tasty! I added lime juice and green chiles to the bean/corn salsa and served it cold instead of warm. Also added ranch dressing and the flavors were wonderful together.

Washabinaros Chili

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2009
Very complex flavors. I've had multiple people remark that it's the best chili they've had. Didn't add the wasabi or all of the peppers, and it was still spicy. I always substitute ground turkey and it's still sooo flavorful.

Pumpkin Bread IV

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2009
I cooked one loaf and one bundt with this recipe. The bundt came out perfectly and tasted amazing! The loaf pan required longer cooking time than called for and was still a little too moist in the very center. But the taste of this recipe is wonderful!

Tex-Mex Turkey Soup

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2009
This recipe is a great jumping off point. Based on other rewiews, I used less tomato soup and supplemented with chicken broth. The broth tasted great. But the thing that put it over the top was adding left over grilled turkey breast that had been seasoned with a jerk dry rub. It made the flavor so complex! No cilantro, but had a ripe avocado so cut that into chunks and enjoyed with cheese and tortilla chips. Delicious!!!

Pumpkin Bean Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2009
My husband and I loved this soup... with our own slight twists. I wanted to keep the soup more of a southwest style, so I did not add curry and ginger as other reviewers did. I added 2 tsp of cumin and replaced the tomato sauce with a large can of diced tomatoes. Added a little kick with cayenne and garnished the soup with sour cream instead of whipped cream. Delicious!

Creamy Jalapeno

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2011
Great starting recipe that can be changed to your taste. I had Ranch dip instead of dressing mix, so I was sparing with it. Used about 2/3-3/4 of the package and it was plenty of flavor. Since we love cilantro, I used a FULL handful and it turned the dip a beautiful green speckle color. I omitted the garlic powder (even though I love garlic, I just wanted to cilantro and pepper flavor to shine). I used one habanero pepper (those things are spicy) and it gave it some amazing kick. We used this sauce to top our southern style eggs benedict (cornbread, roasted pork, fried egg). UNBELIEVABLE!!!

Chipotle Crusted Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: May 13, 2009
this has much more flavor than a marinated, over-baked tenderloin, and it was fast. still moist, too!

Spicy Grilled Shrimp

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2009
This recipe was too salty (and my husband and I are both salt lovers), but otherwise very flavorful and worth using agin. The salt is an easy fix for the next time.

Potato Casserole

Reviewed: May 13, 2009
i gave this 4 stars because it is simple and tastes pretty good, but it's not for special occasions with company. more like a crowd feeder at a barbeque. the flavor was just a little processed, perhaps because of the condensed soup. but it'll do in a pinch!

Sharon's Scrumptious Souvlaki

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2009
I used extra marinade to soak thinly sliced onions and tomatoes for about an hour. That, along with tsatziki and feta cheese, added enough flavor to compensate for the lack luster flavor of the marinated chicken. Even adding lemon juice to the marinade did not add up to good Greek-flavored chicken. Don't get me wrong, the dish as a whole was a success, but I was hoping for more flavor from the marinade.

Sherry Sour Cream Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2010
I felt like this recipe offered nothing special. The flavor of the Sherry was too strong, and I actually enjoy Sherry. My husband was underwhelmed, but ate it nonetheless!
