Sweet and Savory Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2010
If you are not following the steps I really don’t think it is fair for you to rate the recipe. All reviews are helpful, but rating a recipe poorly after you clearly state that you didn’t follow the steps seems a little unfair.

Lemon and Herb Risotto Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2010
I saved this recipe last year. My father birthday was yesterday and I finally found an opportunity to use this recipe. I wanted to make something light, and bright to combat the incredibly sad weather we are having on the east coast right now… WOW this recipe did not disappoint. I was so impressed. This tasted like awesome slow made risotto and it was supper easy. I love risotto and I will probably never make the slow stove top version again… Why waste the time? Let the oven do the work! I doubled the recipe, but still used the same sized pan. It turned out light and fluffy. The leftovers were the perfect light lunch. I still have all the ingredients and I am going to make more of this latter this week… Everyone asked for the recipe because it was so super easy and so super good. I hope you enjoy it as much as my family did.

Phyllo-Wrapped Halibut Fillets with Lemon Scallion Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2010
As expected- i made a few changes, I by mistake only brought one package of phyllo, which only has 2 sheets. I easily fixed the issue with just rolling out the dough, creating more layers. It was a super easy recipe. I doubled the sauce recipe and served it on angle hair (i also added some garlic)

Asparagus, Potato, and Onion Frittata

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2009
I made this recipe for my dads birthday. I changed it a bit. He likes sausage and prefers Spanish. It worked out great! I added a little bit more of everything. I also added some uncle tonys to spice it up. I needed to feed a lot of people.I also added some swiss cheese. I was worried about is burning so I cooked it covered for 20 mins and then uncovered for 8 mins.

Joelle's Famous Hot Crab and Artichoke Dip

Reviewed: May 26, 2009
The dish wasn’t bad but I would call it good ether. The dip was forgettable and kind of boring. As a Marylander I was disappointed in the flavor.( I don’t like spice but I needed more flavor) I took this dish to a cook out and baked it off in the hostess oven. HUGE fail, it made a mess of her oven. The dip bubbled over. I was disappointed in my choice of recipe. The recipe is also super expensive to make, there is no way that many different kinds of cream and cream products are necessary.

I make these all the time. People always ask me for the recipe. They are so easy and so much cooler then just plain brownies... GREAT for partys, I even sometimes ice them when I really want something rich.

Sweet Potato Gnocchi

I used the bag method. It worked great, but i had to add a lot of extra flour. I served it with a cream sauce but i think that butter and cinnamon would have been better.

Cannoli

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2009
Oh my GOD. These were so good. They take some time, but are fun to make with friends. I think it would be hard to make these by your self. Everything blended well. I WILL BE MAKING THESE AGAIN! I added nutmeg and didn't add the citron. It turned out great. I also drizzled chocolate over them.. WOW, you wont be able to stop eating them… These are fancy and very impressing looking to serve to guests.

this worked great- i doubled the recipe and froze half. Advice for those planing to freeze- Lay the gnocchi on a cookie sheet in a flat layer. Put the cookie sheet in freezer for about 10 mins. Then you can put them in a bag and they will keep for months!
