Country Apple Dumplings

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2012
I made these today. They were yummy. I could not stop eating these. I rolled my apples in brown and white sugar then rolled them in the pastry and I only used 8oz of the Mountain Dew. My husband loved them as well and I plan on taking them to my next church pot luck. Thank you

Crustless Cranberry Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2011
I enjoyed this recipe. Like some said its more like a coffee cake. Also, I've read some reviews and for those who think its too tart remember these are cranberries they are naturally tart. I warmed mine up in the morning and added a little heavy cream over the top yum. Oh, I also added 1/4c walnuts and 1/4c pecans. Thanks

Quiche Lorraine I

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2011
I loved this recipe it was like eating a custard pie but for dinner. If you like custard you will love this. I used sliced swiss cheese and put it on the bottom of the crust as shown on a video showed on this website for making quiche. I also cooked it about 15 min longer for the top to firm up. I also added a little mixed shredded cheese about 1/2 cup it turned out beautiful. I put all my ingredients on the bottom of the crust then poured the cream mixture over the top. When I took it out of the oven the cream mixture stayed on top and created this custard-like layer (heaven). Hubby did not care for it, too soft for him but I will surely make it for company. Thank you

Easy Fruit Cobbler

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2011
I enjoyed this recipe. I like it more as a breakfast side rather than a dessert. I used 1/2 cup of sugar, cinnamon and vanilla to the mix. I also added 1/4 of sugar and some cinnamon to my fresh strawberries and blueberries. I like the dough because it does not take away from the fruit. I will make this again this week.

Kentucky Butter Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2010
This cake was so rich. I really did not get a chance to really taste it but I am surely going to make it again. I took it to agathering but I had some trouble getting it out of the pan ( a little impatient) so the presentation was not very good. I will make this again.

Tomato Bisque II

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2010
My husband and I just went to a restuarant and he had this soup. He asked me to find a recipe for it and I found this one. I cheated and used canned tomatoes and followed the directions. We loved it except for my husband of course wanted it a little chunkier but I loved it. It was a little acidy so I found out I could use baking soda (sparingly 1/8 tsp at a time) to cut the tart the sugar only changed the flavor. I also used heavy cream instead of milk. Thank you for a great recipe.

Albondigas

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2010
My husband and I loved this soup. Although I took the advice of one of the ratings and did it traditional style by adding rice, sausage, egg and spices to the meatballs. I also added zucchini and corn to broth mix and omitted the milk. It came out so yummy I am making it tonight one pot for us and another pot for friends. This will be one of our winter favorites. Thank You Belen for getting me started on something I always wanted to try.

Sex in a Pan I

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2010
This was very good! My husband loved it as well and he is not a pudding person and me I love anything creamy. I made just a few adjustments. I doubled the cream cheese mixture and layered it with pastacio pudding, vanilla then chocolate pudding. Very yummy! It was my friends b-day I gave her half the pan they loved it as well. Thanks for this old recipe.

Banana Cake VI

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2009
I love this dense banana cake. I think all banana cakes should taste like this. I did not change anything in the recipe but I did not use the icing (too sweet for me)I used the whipped cream cream cheese frosting from this website. Very good. I will definately use this cake again and again. I followed the directions to a 'T' I had to cook mine for 90min at 275. I would not change a thing. Thank You

Fabulous Beef Tenderloin

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2009
My husband raved over this I thought it was pretty good too because you only use three ingredience. I did not think it was too salty but I am sure that depends on your taste. I used beef tenderloin steaks since I was cooking for only two and used the drippings for dipping sauce-very, very good. Thank You.
