About this Cook
I'm originally from Bermuda, and have been living in Edinburgh, Scotland since 2005. I'm the proud mother of three beautiful boys who love to eat. hehe I love to cook/bake and have many other hobbies as well, the main one being crochet. I sell my crocheted items and crochet patterns online at www.hobbyzu.com.
My favorite things to cook
I have a lot of favorites! I especially love to bake. I love starches as well. Mac and cheese, any form of potato, rice dishes, bread etc. I am also a junk food freak, but am trying to cut out a lot of sugar. Gotta set a good example!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Traditional Bermudian Sunday breakfast of saltcod and potato.(Codfish & Potato) The best times I have in the kitchen are the holidays. I always have a turkey w/ cranberry sauce and gravy, homemade stuffing, mac n cheese, mashed potato w/ gravy, candied yams, brussel sprouts or something else green, pumpkin pie for dessert, and 1 or 2 new items just to add a little variety. :-)

Easy Garlic Broiled Chicken
My boys and I loved this!! I always have smoking incidents when I broil, so I just baked it for around an hour. I'll use the broiler just to crisp up the skin. So simple to make, I didn't even measure anything, and the end result was finger lickin' good! Thanks so much for this recipe!

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies
Great recipe! Wish I had made these sooner. hehe I added cinnamon because years ago I tasted cinnamon in peanut butter cookies and have never gone back. :-) I always make changes to recipes, and did add extra peanut butter and oatmeal, but the recipe is also fine the way it is. I found I had to bake mine for around 15 mins or they were uncooked in the middle. This made them a bit crunchier as well, which is how I like them. Thanks for the recipe!! :-)

Honey Baked Chicken II
Very easy and delicious chicken recipe. Not all my family liked it and it was a bit greasy. Wish I had read the other reviews, I would have decreased the butter as well. :-) Will definitely make it again though with a few tweaks.
