Paradise Pumpkin Pie I

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2011
Followed recipe with no variations and this is one of the best pumpkin pies I have ever had. Perfect twist on traditional pie and there is never any leftovers.

Green Onion Wraps

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2010
This was an odd tasting recipe, either you love it or hate it. Toke to a birthday party and it was gone within half hour. Used ham and wrapped around green onion and large dill pickels. I did not have a problem spreading the cream cheese, I just set it out to soften and it was fine.

Pennsylvania Coal Region Barbecue

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2010
I will never buy pre-made sloppy joe mix again. Recipe can be tweaked easily per your preference but going by recipe as stated it is very good. This is a regular in our house and I make large batches of it when ground beef goes on sale and freeze in 1lb portions.

Sesame Pasta Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2010
This is a great recipe and has been added to our monthly recipe rotation. Very versatile depending on ingredients on hand. As others have said reduce oil to 1/3. Also, only use half the dressing when first mixing together. For those of you not using the sesame oil or poppy seeds it does make a big difference. If too expensive look in the Mexican and Chinese sections of your grocery store. Both items will be there at reduced rates. (Ex: sesame oil in regular oil section is $7.99, but in the Chinese section a slightly smaller bottle is only $2.99 - a little goes a long way so get the smaller bottle)

Pollo Fajitas

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2010
This was very bland. Could be improved with more seasoning but not really worth the effort. There are much better fajita recipes.

Honey Mustard Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: May 24, 2010
Followed this recipe exactly and it really wasn't that good. My husband felt is wasn't even worth messing with a second time and told me to just find another honey mustard recipe to try. No outstanding taste and the grilled mayo was just wierd.

Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich with Garlic Mayo

Reviewed: May 24, 2010
This is a really good, quick and economical (depending on the cut of meat used) dinner. My husband followed the recipe with little variation and this is now in our regular rotation. If you really like garlic double the amount for the mayo.

Followed the recipe exactly and it was ok. Will defiantly work on changing but it is a good base recipe to work from.

Sweet, Sticky and Spicy Chicken

Reviewed: May 12, 2010
Not bad, but watch the hot sauce amount if you don't want it to be too spicy.

Strawberry Bread

Reviewed: May 12, 2010
I lost my notes on what changes to make per the suggestions of the other reviews and I made this as the recipe stated. I ended up throwing it in the trash. CUT THE SUGAR, by at least half. Making adjustments will help but if you are rating this recipe written as is, then it is horrible.

Pepperoncini Beef

Reviewed: May 11, 2010
This is a monthly staple in our house. I throw it in the crockpot before work and it sits for 12 hours. Toast the buns, add cheese and a quick salad and dinner is done. I always use a 3 to 4 lb roast and use the rest for other recipes. Meat can go in salads, in quesadillas or tacos and as a pizza topping. I usually get at least three meals out of this. (Note -only feeding two adults and one toddler but recipe is easily doubled.) Also, wait untill the roast goes on sale or buy one get one free and it decreases your costs even more.

Chicken Breasts Pierre

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2010
Great recipe. Used 1 teaspoon chili powder and diced tomato. Also added green pepper and red onion to mixture when mixture started to simmer. This reminds me of a dinner my mom use to make.

Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2010
This was ok. You really need to like straight buffalo wing sauce. My husband compared it to drinking the Franks sauce straight out of the bottle. If you like flavor and not just heat then I would pass.

Pizza Casserole

Really did not care for this recipe. It was very heavy and it seemed like it needed alot of tweaking to give it more flavor. Doesn't seem worth even messing with again.

This is the first bread recipe I have ever tried and it came out great! I did not make any changes because I really did not have a clue what I was doing. This is also toddler and husband approved.

Tastes great and very easy. Great for quick nights or no fuss side dish for company. I cut back just a little on the sugar.
