About this Cook
I'm still a student, so my repertoir is limited because of money and time. But I love creating new recipes out of whatever I find in the kitchen/fridge. I have a blog: of what I create in my itty-bitty apartment kitchen.
My favorite things to cook
I've been told I'm great at making fluffy eggs, pork chops, and many chicken varieties. My "famous" recipe is my stuffed red peppers, I get a lot of requests for those. I'm also pretty awesome a whipping up quick healthy meals with whatever's in the fridge/freezer/pantry.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family has a strong slavic heritage, so making our own pasta, egg noodles, stuffed cabbage, pieroghis, Christmas Eve Mushroom Soup, and Chicken Paprikush soup are all my favorites.
My cooking triumphs
I hope to one day make a souffle that doesn't fall and put it on this list. Beef bourginoun is also on the to-do list after seeing "Julie and Julia".
My cooking tragedies
Too many to list! I have thrown out whole dinners many times because something burnt, or tasted awful. But in cooking, everything is an experiment and one must NEVER give up or stop experimenting!

Mama Chiarello's Stuffed Eggplant
I used ground turkey and added some chopped mushroom to the stuffing, and also used blue cheese in the stuffing as well. It was absolutely delicious! I've never liked eggplant but I'm glad I gave it another try.

Stuffed Peppers
The only thing I did differently was to add a bit of cheddar cheese to the meat, and I didn't have Worchestershire so I used steak sauce. I may use more tomato sauce next time. This is your basic stuffed pepper recipe, delicious!

Goat Cheese and Tomato Pizza
This is possibly the BEST pizza I've ever had! My boyfriend and I positively loved it. The sauce is fabulous. I added some roasted red peppers from a jar, and spinach as well. I also had some extra dough, so I stuffed the crust with goat cheese. Definitely will make this again!
