Stir and Drop Sugar Cookies II

Reviewed: May 28, 2009
I made mine with 1 1/2 cups flour and 1/2 cup corn meal but thought the original recipe was great. I liked the not-so-sweetness and the cake-like texture. These are great late-night cookies-- I made these at midnight and it was nice to just drop them on the pan instead of rolling out dough!

Pepperoni Cheese Balls

Reviewed: May 30, 2009
What a good recipe- I would have never thought to use pepperoni in a dip! I used veggie pepperoni (since I'm a vegetarian) and added plenty of onion and garlic powder. I also rolled mine into a log instead of balls.

Sage Cream Cheese

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2009
Very good! I added lemon juice instead of lemonade concentrate and mixed in some plain greek yogurt to soften it a bit. I left it out with crackers at a party and there was none left at the end of the night!

Stuffed Butternut Squash

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2009
Very good recipe for vegetarians! The brussel sprouts with the squash gave it a wonderful taste. I used the same ingredients in a creamy butternut squash soup the next day.

Chicken Dumpling Strips

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2009
This was a nice recipe for chicken and dumplings. Since I'm a vegetarian, I used vegetable broth and soy chicken strips. I also added celery salt and a little ground mustard seed to the dumplings for added flavor.

Banana Wake-Up Bars

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2010
Really good, easy recipe, but not a whole lot of flavor. On the second batch I made, I toasted the rolled oats in the oven for about five minutes and added walnuts and a little nutmeg.

Turkey Burrito

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2010
Great idea! It could have used a little more flavor for me, so I added chopped sage and poultry seasoning. I'm a vegetarian, so I used soy turkey and added some chopped roasted chestnuts for texture and protein.
