Cajun Grilled Corn

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2002
I mixed the seasoning and butter together then brushed the mixture onto the corn. It gave the corn a very nice flavor.

Roasted Red Pepper Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2012
this could not be easier or quicker. I followed the recipe minus the mushrooms and tortellini since I didn't have them on hand. I added a few dashes of red pepper flakes and about 2 tablespoons of sour cream and it was delicious. This is a definite keeper - even the kids loved it!

Chocolate Pudding Cake IV

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2011
I only used 1/2 cup sour cream and added 1/2 cup 2% milk (I didn't realize I had so little sour cream). I kept everything else the same and cooked it in my oval slow cooker (Hamilton Beach) for 3 1/2 hours. I think next time I will follow another reviewers suggestion and stir it every so often because the sides baked much quicker than the center. I was looking to make a lava type cake and everyone said this was better than any restaurant's!

Roasted Lemon Herb Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2012
delicious and so easy. I combined the seasonings with the olive oil and lemon juice. only used 1 lemon and after squeezing it put it in the cavity with a few slices of onion and a few tablespoons of the seasoning mixture. Also rubbed the seasoning under the skin. Covered with foil until the last 15 min. Then removed the foil and increased the temp to 400. Crispy skin and so juicy inside. Thanks for sharing!

Pizza Pinwheels

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2011
these were easy and delicious. I spread sauce on the crescent rolls, but will probably take other reviewer's suggestions and process the sauce, pepperoni and cheese together as a spread to make them easier to roll. I also put the stuffed crescent rolls in the freezer before I cut them. I was going to send them for lunch at school, but my husband ate them all! Thanks for sharing!

Cool Watermelon Slushes

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2011
Yummy - and a great way to use up watermelon that's a little over-ripe. I omitted the honey and it was sweet enough on it's own. My kids loved it!

Cocoa Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2011
These were very easy and came out very moist. Not quite as much chocolate flavor as I expected, tastes more like a rich chocolate chip cookie to me, but they are excellent. Thanks for sharing!

Apple Rosemary Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2011
Hubby and I both loved this, kids didn't like the rosemary, but enjoyed the middle pieces of pork. I marinated the pork overnight w/seasonings and regular apple cider. Put it in the crock pot w/apples and onions on low until it reached 160. Made the gravy with 2 tbsp brown sugar and about 1/4 cup of maple syrup and it was sweet enough for us. Thanks for sharing!

Oma's Cottage Cheesecake

I never had cottage cheesecake before, but I had cottage cheese so I tried it based on all the good reviews. My family didn't like it as much as regular cheesecake, but it was very good for what it is.

Cantaloupe Bread with Praline Glaze

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2011
I found this way too sweet with the glaze and I cut the sugar by half. I made 24 muffins instead of loaves one batch w/glaze and one without. The batch without the glaze was very good, but still a little sweet for my taste so I would cut the sugar a bit more next time. Great way to use up cantaloupe.

Quick and easy, but a little bland and eggy for my family. Would probably be good with a fruit topping.

Five Minute Ice Cream

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2010
I was looking for a way to use up over-ripe strawberries and came across this recipe. This was quick and easy and turned out great. I had buttermilk and half & half on hand so I used those in place of the heavy cream and cut the sugar in half. I could have put in a bit more sugar, but my kids loved it as is!
