Scott's Buffalo Wing Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2010
Great! We didn't have honey, so we skipped that, but it was still so good, and I can only imagine that it will be even better with honey.

White Bean 'n' Ham Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2010
I have made this too many times to count and can't believe I haven't reviewed it yet. It's awesome. The only negative thing I would say would be that the servings saying '6' is optimistic at best. I double the recipe and maybe get 6-8 servings, and that's one bowl per serving.

Christmas Morning Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2010
This was great! I just did it for Easter brunch and everyone loved it. I substituted 1/2 lb. hot Italian sausage instead of the 1 lb. reg sausage and increased the 6 eggs to 8. I also used all cheddar as I didn't have Swiss. This is a very forgiving recipe, so you can be creative according to personal preference:)

Roasted Vegetables

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2009
This was fantastic! I made it the first time for Christmas Eve and everyone wanted more. I used dried thyme and rosemary, cut the rosemary in half then, and the thyme into a quarter of what was listed, and it was delicious. I also subbed carrots for squash. Will definitely be making over and over.

Fideo (Mexican Spaghetti)

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2009
It was fine, but nothing more. It took more like an hour from start to finish and to me the reward for the work wasn't really there.

Campbell's® Pennsylvania Dutch Ham and Noodle Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2009
I was disappointed. I followed the recipe exactly, except for using less onion, and it was so sticky and thick I had to add milk. It was way too salty- and that was it as far as flavor. I will not make this again.

Cheesy Beans and Rice

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2009
This was really good. I followed the recipe exactly except for only using about 1/4 onion and it was perfect for us. It does have a little 'kick' to it, but it's not too much. I would say that it makes more like 4 servings, instead of 6, but that's me. My husband said he liked it, but would LOVE it with ground beef...

Fresh Tomato Salsa

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2009
This was good, though I had to change some things. I made the first batch following the recipe except I added garlic and substituted jalapeno peppers, as they were plentiful at the Farmer's Market. It was way to much cilantro and I love cilantro. This time I used only a 1/4 cup. Also, I needed to use only two peppers and this had plenty of bite. Good base recipe.

Au Gratin Potatoes

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2009
It was good, though I made some changes. Per the other reviews and my own experience, I opted to mix everything together, then bake rather than just pour the 'sauce' over top. I also omitted the peppers just from personal preference.

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2009
This recipe was great. I didn't quite as much banana, since I only had about 2 cups worth, but it was plenty. I also added a little vanilla, and that was perfect. Good base recipe for sure.

Rice with Black Beans

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2009
This was great. I did substitute garlic salt for powder, since it was what I had. Also, I made rice on the side rather than add instant. I added diced chicken breast as well, but think it would still be great without it. So healthy and yummy!

Heather's Cilantro, Black Bean, and Corn Salsa

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2008
So good! I was looking for a healthy snack for a gathering and I made this (minus the avacado) and served with Wheat Thins as well as tortilla chips. It was a hit. Very flavorful- and nutritionally packed for a snack.

Banana Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2008
Delicious. Banana flavor is there without overpowering the cookie. We followed the recipe exactly except for sprinkling a little cinnamon on top- yummy! The cookies are full and cake-like.

Mexican Rice II

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2008
I am going to have to say that this wasn't very good, in my opinion. I thought the rice came out mushy, and didn't have much taste. On the plus side I would say that it was easy to make, and should be easy to touch up. I will try a bit more cumin next time, with a clove or so of fresh garlic, and cut back on the broth to firm it up a little.

Baked Lemon Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2008
This recipe was so easy to make and very flavorful. However, it did end up a bit soggy following the recipe exactly so I will tweak it a littl next time. I love the garlic, but my husband isn't a big fan. I would use less if you don't like garlic lemon chicken, which is what this could be called.

Cheesy Potatoes and Ham

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2008
This was a hit! I would say that it takes longer than 10 mins to prep though with the making the mashed potatoes, the chopping/dicing, etc. but it totallly worth it. I actually added a little more ham and cheese, because it what I had and this would feed at least 6 people. Definitely making this again.

Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2008
Best stew ever! That's what my husband said tonight, his only complaint was that there wasn't more... The only thing that I changed was that I didn't have fresh garlic so I used garlic salt. Also, I only used one lb. of stew meat since that's all I had and it was perfect for us. More would've been too much, in our opinion. Still fantastic, this is now my beef stew recipe.
