Decorator Frosting

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2011
So easy and soooo good! It made enough to frost almost 4 dozen (with lots of frosting on each!) Used this for the first time to decorate sugar cookies for my son's first birthday party! Haven't had the party yet, but I'm sure these cookies will be gobbled up because of this frosting!

No Bake Peanut Butter Pie

So simple and easy. Put one in an oreo crust and one in a graham cracker crust. Topped with chocolate syrup and chocolate chips - sooooo yummy!!! And my guests loved it too.

Mediterranean Chicken and Orzo Salad In Red Pepper Cups

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2011
Found this after searching orzo pasta salads and it has become a household favorite! I don't serve it in pepper cups, instead I just chop up the red pepper. It is great served cold. It's hard to have just one serving! And very easy to make! My husband likes it as much as I do! Yum!

Banana Pudding IV

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2010
Followed to a tee - except used 2.5 cups of milk instead of 3 to make sure it wouldn't be runny. Add some wafers right before you eat too because the ones in the pudding get mushy, but still, everything is sooooo good and soooo easy!

Amish Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2009
This was pretty good - actually better warmed up the next day. I prepped everything the day before. We browned the hashbrowns, onions and added green pepper. Someone else wrote this, but for such a fattening dish, you would expect it to be really good, but it was ok.

Crab Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2009
Pretty much made this exactly as is... Added about an 1/8th or little more of cayenne, but still thought it needed more. Brought it as a an app before Thanksgiving dinner and it was barely touched! It definitely needs something more - like a kick!

Chocolate Strawberries

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2009
I ended up using milk chocolate chips. And then took someone's advice to melt white chocolate and drizzle over top. So easy and so good!

My Kid's Favorite Pork Chops

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2009
One of my husband's favorite dinners! I used a little all-season salt instead, a coors light (what was in the fridge) and winking lizard BBQ sauce. My husband says its all about the BBQ sauce you use. I usually let them simmer for 1.5-2 hours. Serve over white rice. A super easy, yummy dinner!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2009
This is a household staple! So easy to make - I can put it all together in less than 10 minutes. I throw in carrots, celery and peas to make it a complete meal. I use 1 package of the reduced fat Grands homestyle rolls - and you cannot tell the difference. Such a great dinner that everyone loves!

Bacon Water Chestnut Rolls

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2009
These were the hit of our holiday party! I made lots of other appetizers - but these definitely went the quickest! I followed some other tips like cooking them on a cookie sheet on a pan to let the grease fall. We had to cook them longer than it says to to get the bacon crispier. I might try pre-cooked bacon next time. I tripled the recipe along with the sauce - but there was no need to - there was way to much sauce leftover. However, I put it in mini-crock and let it simmer nearby for people to dip the chestnuts in. Overall - simple and good!
