Quick and Easy Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2010
This recipe really is easy and it tasted fantastic! I used the suggestion by others of just de-boning a rotersserie chicken and adding fresh garlic to the sauteed veggies. My 3 year old and 1 year old loved it (and that is rare indeed).

Fresh Southern Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2010
Oh my goodness, best peach cobbler EVER! My only regret was that there wasnt more. I must double the recipe next time because every one wanted seconds but it was gone with the first serving! And boiling the peaches before hand to peel off skins was an excellent idea, thank you to all those who suggested it.

Chicken, Avocado and Provolone Wraps

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2010
Very yummy, I've been making it for lunch everyday this week. I've made a few minor changes for my own taste but all in all I love this wrap!

Heathier Stuffed Peppers

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2010
These were very good and we all really enjoyed them. I didn't change a thing, but I think next time I will add some chili or hot sauce to give it a bit more of a kick. All in all it was quite simple to make and very tasty.

Sloppy Joes II

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2010
These were very good. We made them with half ketchup and half BBQ sauce as another member suggested. I will certainly be using this quick and easy recipe again.

Roasted Butternut Squash and Garlic Lasagna

Reviewed: May 17, 2010
WOW! And I thought this lasagna was pretty good the day I made it, but the next day it was amazing! I took some of the suggestions made by others: I added a layer in the center of fresh spinach (which I topped with mozzerella), I added sweet onion to the sauce, and I dipped the lasagna noodles in boiling water for 20 seconds before cooking. It came out perfect . . . this recipe is a keeper and a must repeat for my family! Thank you!

Quick and Easy Brownies

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2010
Very good recipe! The only reason I'm not giving it the full 5 is because it took over an hour to bake. But they tasted great. I took other's suggestion and only used 1 cup of flour.

Gouda Spinach Quiche

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2010
Oh my goodness this was the best spinach quiche I have ever made! Everyone loved it (even the men). I made a few changes though, I omitted the bacon and added a cup of smoked gouda (half on the bottom and half sprinkled on top), and I also added crushed garlic with the onions. The recipe is a keeper and I think will soon be a family favorite!

Lemon Cake with Lemon Filling and Lemon Butter Frosting

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2010
Fantastic recipe! I made it for a friend's baby shower and it was a hit! I didn't have any left over. Everything about it was superb! However, I wasn't able to cut the two cakes in half because they didn't rise that much for some reason. I just put the curd in the middle and topped with frosting. This recipe is going in my book for sure!

Carolyn's Sweet Potato Fries

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2010
I gave this four stars because they had a nice flavor and everyone (including my very picky 3 year old) just loved them. However, I agree with others on the soggy factor. I was expecting crisp fries and this was more like a sweet potato bake. Still a hit, but not exactly fries. I did make a nice sauce that complimented them (salad cream mixed with brown sugar).

Pizza Dough I

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2010
I think this recipe is amazing! I realized all to late that I need a bread maker for the recipe I was going to use and needed to come up with an alternative fast. I was a little leary, but it turned out great and everyone loved it. I added some garlic and italian seasoning to the dough to make it have more of a kick. I have passed this recipe on to many other moms I know who may need to come up with a quick pizza.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2009
AMAZING! Best apple pie ever! I added a half tsp. of apple pie spice though. I wanted a hint of spice but not too over powering. I also used puff pastry for the crust and latice top and that gave it a wonderful flavor. This is really a great recipe that is fun to experiment with.

Perfect Turkey

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2009
Wonderful recipe! Although it wasn't as moist as everyone said it would be and I followed the recipe exactly. Oh well, I suppose that's just how turkey goes. But I must say, it didn't matter because the drippings made the most amazing gravy ever! I kept eating more and more turkey just to have the gravy poured on it. This is certainly a keeper, I hardly had any left-over turkey this year!

Merritt's Butternut Squash Gratin

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2009
AMAZING! I have been searching for a good squash recipe for Thanksgiving for years now and I have finally found it! This was a hit! Absolutely no left-overs with this one! I added bleu cheese to the mix (we love bleu cheese in my family) and it was superb! I will be making this every year for now on.
