Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2011
Yum! I think I will try to soften the peppers a bit before grilling next time.

Very good - let the bacon get extra crispy.

Chocolate Meringue Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2011
These were very tasty! My oven only took 22 min (and were still a little over done), so be sure to keep an eye on them!

Parmesan Knots

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2011
I thought the original recipe was good (I used it on the first half) but it was excellent when I added some extra garlic to it. I tossed everything together when it was warm.

Cranberry Orange Cookies

Reviewed: May 4, 2010
Amazing cookies! My family loves when they are still soft the next day, so this was perfect for us. They were great the first time I made them according to the recipe and I was telling my class about how good they were and decided to make them again that night for them! I added 1 tsp of vanilla and they were even better. My class of 4th graders thought they were delicious also. Thank you for a new favorite!!!

Manicotti Italian Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2010
I made this for my family after a day of working in the garden and really appreciated how easy it was! We all thought it was good (even the 1 y/o who ate some of the noodles) but that for my spicy loving family it needed a little more flavor.

Felix K.'s 'Don't even try to say these aren't the best you've ever eaten, because they are' Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2010
These were very good! I made the first batch a little smaller then called for and tried one before starting the second batch and I'm glad I did. I made the second batch bigger and they were so much better. The whole group commented about the chewy center and thought they were delicious. I would still pick my sister-in-laws over these but it is hard to compare :)

Cherry Limeade I

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2010
I really liked this, but I can't say I followed it exactly. My roommate bought a HUGE jar of maraschino cherries and hates them so I told her I would find a way to get rid of them. I secretly had this in mind but hadn't had a chance to make it and had a girls get together tonight...perfect! I didn't know exactly how much of the cherry juice to add so just went until it tasted right! Even the cherry-hating roomie had a second glass :). Next time I will measure the juice as I add and make a note of it. I will make this again with the rest of the HUGE jar of cherries!

Rhubarb and Strawberry Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2010
This was a great recipe that everyone in my family loved (including the fantastic baker grandma). I was expecting a little more tartness from the rhubarb and want to try this again with fresh instead of frozen and maybe a little less sugar. Mine was not runny or taste flour-y at all. I made sure to let the mixture sit for the whole 30 min. before adding to the crust to bake and I made it the day before serving. I didn't do a lattice top, but cut a whole in the middle and 4 one inch slits. I will be making this again as soon as there is fresh rhubarb in the store!!!

Oven Roasted Red Potatoes and Asparagus

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2010
LOVED these! The only change I made was to use fresh instead of dried herbs. I also followed the example of some other reviewers and left the potatoes in for 30 min and then added the asparagus for the last 10. This was def. a hit with the roommate and me! I added some cherry tomoatoes in with the asparagus for some color and they were amazing with the "dressing" as well!

Greek Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2010
I really liked the flavor in this chicken, but it was a little rubbery for me (I cooked this in the oven, but the temp was a little higher then I usually have it!). I will try this again for sure when the weather is a little nicer and see if I can do better on the grill!

Jalapeno Popper Spread

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2010
My brother and I ate almost 1/2 of this the first day! The jalapenos I used were not pickled in any way, so it was not as hot as my family could take, but the flavor was great. The next time we had it my parents loved it as well! Totally the right dip for my spicy loving family! I used toasted french bread as the dipper.

The Most Incredible Garlic Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2010
This was excellent! I did not have a problem with the oil mixing, so maybe I was lucky. The only thing I will try different is put a little more garlic flavor in the next time!

Spinach Cheese Tortellini

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2010
This was very tasty! I liked it even better the next day. I though the sauce was great (not too thick/rich). Next time I might try to season the spinach a little bit before adding it into the rest of the dish!

Frank's® Red Hot® Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2010
I followed it exactly (with 1/2 cup blue cheese crumbles) and served it at a football party with rave reviews! The second time I used the 1/2 cup of blue cheese crumbles and added 1/4 cup shredded mozz. cheese. I thought it was even better and everyone loved it! I gave the recipe to 5 different people :). I love this and will be making it often!!!

Blue Ridge Blackberry Lemon Bars

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2009
Although these would be great as posted, I did make a few changes the second time around. I agree the lemon flavoring wasn't enough, so I added lemon juice to the jelly as well. I warmed it in the microwave to make it easier to spread as well (a trick I learned from my sister in law!) This adds more lemon flavoring and it is easier to make! For an extra special touch, I added an easy frosting of powdered sugar mixed with lemon juice. This adds even more lemon flavor and a sweet note. Just be careful to wait for it to cool before drizzling the icing on!

White Bean Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2009
This has become a fall/winter favorite of mine! Sorry to all the other soups/chilis sitting in my recipe box. I do use a little extra salsa verde and chicken broth and it comes out more like soup then chili, but fantastic flavors and heat!

Chicken Enchiladas V

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2008
I made this for a group of 15. It was very easy to make a triple recipe! I agree this recipe needs a little more flavor. I added a can of original Rotel to the chicken but next time I will try a can of the spicy Rotel instead. I thinned out the "sauce" with chicken stock. I also chopped up a jalapeno and some cilantro that some chose to put on top. I did cook the chicken in a crockpot all morning while I was out of the house. I had chicken stock and a can of spicy Rotel as the liquid. This was very good by itself!
