Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

The only change I've made to these is to do 1/2 white sugar and 1/2 brown, then add a tsp of Vanilla. The brown sugar make them a little smoother. I ALWAYS make a double batch, because one is never enough!

Red Velvet Cake I

I think I did something terribly wrong. I tried making this into cupcakes, baking for 25 minutes at 325, as another reviewer suggested. I must have over-filled them, because they overflowed, and then sank down in the middles. I hope they taste good, because they look terrible.

Merritt's Butternut Squash Gratin

I made a few alterations to this recipe, but the combination of flavors is out of this world. I cut the cheese in half, and used the pre-shredded Italian blend so that the squash takes the main stage. I also added oregano to make it a little more savory. Delicious!

Grandma Ople's Apple Pie

This recipe turned out PERFECTLY! I was worried, because I let the syrup sti and cool by accident, so it was almost too thick, but it still worked beautifully. I did take the other user's advice and add a bit of vanilla to the syrup and tossed the apples in cinnamon. The french pastry pie crust is the perfect compliment to this great recipe!

These turned out beautifully. I learned how to make these when I lived in Germany, but I lost the recipe. This one seems identical. Make sure to cut out extra tops, because they will ocassionally crack during baking. In true German style, I love to put sauerkirsch (sour cherry) jam in the middle for a kick of tartness.

Creamy Vanilla Pudding

This created the perfect component for banana pudding, not that it wasn't delicious on its own. Everyone who tried the banana pudding said that making the pudding homemade made such a difference. So easy and great results!
