About this Cook
I love to cook! I also crochet and do needle-point. I am a professional writer and I like to paint. I have a pet dog, fish, and giant hairy scorpion (It is kind of neat.... although a little strange, I guess. I describe it as "a unique and educating science project."). I am also going to school to become an American Sign Language interpreter.
My favorite things to cook
Hmmmmmm..... Where do I begin? I have an amazing Italian cookbook which I love to use. I also love to make breads and deserts, especially peach cobbler( what can I say? My dad loves peaches and I love him!). Casseroles, especially with chicken, I love to make, too.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Cinnamon rolls (a family secret recipie!) and banana bread. Also, I plan to try my hand at the family recipie of Christmas candy this year!
My cooking triumphs
I have made homemade pasta in canoles & lasagna from scratch using organic ingredients!
My cooking tragedies
There have been many... I made chocolate chip cookies and forgot to mix wet and dry ingredients separately, and my macaroons were flat instead of fluffy. Not to mention the sticky, runny divinity. My lastest tragedy was molasses coolkies that tasted delicious- and looked square, flat, and entirely unappetizing.

Egg Drop Soup (Better than Restaurant Quality!)
Yummy! Very delicious. It goes beutifully with egg rolls and rice as well. (To fit the Asian theme, I served tea with dinner as well!)

Honey Baked Chicken II
Yum yum yum! I loved this recipie! I did not use a whole chicken, just three chicken breasts, and it turned out fine. The suace did not bake completely onto the chicken, however. The excess sauce was delicious over rice.
