Sirloin Steak with Garlic Butter

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2011
FINALLY! Although it was on the tough side, This had the best flavor!! I took the advice of another commenter and used the side of my knife and made a paste with the garlic, added it and the garlic powder to my butter. I cooked them on the grill and when they were about finished I turned the grill off, put the butter on, closed the lid came in and finished making my salad so they could rest. Thank-you Solana for an AWESOME recipe!

Belgian Waffles

This recipe is really good and worth the extra time it takes for them to rise! They turned out crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I made them for dinner and served scrambled eggs and bacon, butter and hot with them.

Mashed Jalapeno-Cilantro Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2011
This is a great recipe especially when you don't want the sweet in the sweet potatoes. I boiled them instead of bake therefore I shouldn't have put as much orange juice. I served them with bbq chicken, green beans and corn. Thank-you Terri for sharing an excellent recipe.

Chicken and Black Bean Chili

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2011
This recipe gets 5+ stars from me because it is very forgiving and my family loved it! Even the left-overs were a rave! I did not have bell peppers so I omitted those. I did not have kidney beans so I used canned great northern. I did not have roasted garlic tomato paste so I used regular and I did not use green pepper sauce. Next time I might make it exact to the recipe but then again I might not depends on what I am out of at the time, but I can assure you it will still turn out great. Thank-you KORREN for an awesome recipe!

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2011
OH MY GOODNESS THESE ARE SO GOOD!! I will have to say that I didn't use the dough part because I already had dough made for my dinner rolls but wanted something different than my boring normal for cinnamon rolls so I used the filling and icing recipes. They turned out oh so good! Next time I will use the dough recipe here and see how it turns out, but I don't see how it can get any better! My family and I loved them that makes for a 10 star recipe! Thank-you

Home Made Mayonnaise

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2010
I should have prepared myself. This is not Miracle whip that is for sure. and I am sure it would have tasted better if I had not used olive oil. I think I will experiment with it again though maybe use vegetable or canola oil and some sugar. But thank-you for teaching me how to make mayonnaise. :)

Oh these are so goood!! I did lower the amount of sugar to 1 cup and then added 1/2 teaspoon of cloves, 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg for more "zing". for the frosting I used 6 oz cream cheese instead of 3 oz. They are wonderful! Thank-you :)

Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2010
I have to give this a 5 star rating! My family absolutely loved it! There are 3 of us and this makes 6 servings .. there wasn't any left, most of it being eaten by my very finicky daughter! The only thing I done different was that it called fro water chestnuts which I didn't have so I left them out, and I doubled the part of the recipe that makes the sauce because we like lots of sauce. Thank-you for a great recipe!

Stir Fried Pasta with Veggies

All I can say is WOW! anytime I can get a thumbs up from my husband and daughter, it deserves 5 starts! I added 2 tablespoons of margarine with the olive oil and I used Normandy vegetable blend instead of cutting everything up separate. Excellent! Thank-you for the wonderful recipe.

Heavenly Potatoes and Ham

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2009
This is very good. I used cream of mushroom soup instead of cream of chicken and used seasoned bread crumbs to which I added parmesan cheese. I think next time I will use plain bread crumbs and no parmesan as the topping was the only complaint. They loved the "filling" though. Thank-you for a very good and easy recipe.
