Sweet Pork for Burritos

I was skeptical about this recipe, but decided to give it a try. I admit since I don't care for really spicy stuff that I adjusted the recipe. I only added 1 cup salsa, 1 cup brown sugar, but other than that every thing else was the same amount, except that I actually cooked the pork in the sauce for about 6 hours and it turned out wonderful, just perfect for me. My daughter thought next time I might want to add 2 cups salsa, but I liked it the way it was.

5 Minute Microwave Cornbread

I followed the recipe except for I added more sugar because I like sweet cornbread. I spread my cornbread in a 8 inch glass dish sprayed with non stick spray. I have an 1100 watt microwave and it only took 3 minutes and 45 seconds for it to be done. It did not brown, but other than that was perfect. Not dry at all. I will definitely make this again.

Bee's Mac and Cheese Bake

This wasn't bad, but I prefer to melt my cheese in a bechamel type sauce before mixing in with pasta because it melts better. Next time I intend to add a small amount of water to the soup so it is thinner and then heat it and stir in cheese until melted, and then mix this in with the pasta. It is just my personal preferance. Other than that it is pretty good. I don't know why I didn't think of using cream of mushroom soup like a sauce to melt the cheese in before.

Fudgy Chocolate Cream Pie

Just made this pie because it sounded good. It turned out better than I could have imagined. I have made similar pies before with poor results, but not with this. Did not follow the recipe exactly as I used the suggestions of other reviewers and used evaporated milk for a richer taste and texture and used 2 cups of it rather than 1 1/2 cups. Also added an extra tablespoon of cornstarch. However, I did not have the problem of it not being thick enough, in fact mine was so thick I could hardly whisk it before it ever came to a hard boil, so I went on and removed it from the heat, stirred in the chocolate and vanilla and poured it into the pie shell. There was plenty of filling for a deep dish 9 inch pie and it set up beautifully. I will be preparing this again.

Angel Biscuit Rolls

I just finished making these biscuit/rolls and are not that impressed with them. The flavor is good for a biscuit and it is moist, but mine are more heavy than fluffy. They did not rise in the oven hardly at all. I know my baking powder and yeast are good because I have been using them. That being said, they did taste pretty good with butter and honey and I am sure will go great with the stew I am making, but I was somewhat disappointed in the finished product.
