Hot and Sour Chicken Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2010
This is pretty good. The only change that I will make is I will add way less Sesame oil. I thought it was way to strong but other than that it was great and super easy. I made this when we were sick with colds and it clears ya right up!

Lana's Sweet and Sour Meatballs

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2010
Very yummy! I made 3 batches and in the first batch I forgot the egg...oops. They still turned out great. I doubled the sauce and it was perfect. My husband took some to work for a potluck so we made them the night before. When he got to work he put them in the crock pot on low and they were perfect! We will definitely make them again!

Super yummy and super easy! They taste just like doughnuts! The great thing about this recipe is you can make it taste like your favorite doughnut by adding chocolate, sprinkles, etc... Thanks for sharing!

Curried Rice Pilaf

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2010
WONDERFUL!! I would give this 10 stars if I could. We didn't add the green onions because we didn't have any. We also didn't add the raisins or the almonds. As other reviewers suggested we doubled the curry and it was perfect! It was so yummy. My 1 year old and my "well defined taste" 5 year old loved it too!! This is definitely a keeper! My husband and I made this again but did it a little differently so that we could make it more of a meal. I added diced chicken, zucchini and mushrooms. I boiled the chicken and then added it into the pan with the veggies. I sauted (sp?) them for about 10 minutes, we like the zucchini to still have a little crunch. I also sprinkled the chicken, zucchini and mushrooms with about 1/2 tsp. of curry. It was SO yummy and filling!

Pie Crust IV

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2010
This was just ok to me. I used it in a pie but I think it would be better for a pot pie. I doesn't have any flavor. I think next time I will add some vanilla and cinnamon (for a pie).

Floating Island Punch

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2010
This was really good! I did change it but not on purpose. I made this before my daughters birthday party so I didn't have a lot of time and needed something quick and easy. I started boiling my water and added my sugar and it took about 10 minutes to get to a syrup. I then dumped it into the container that had all the other ingredients and the sugar syrup turned into a hard sugar ball. So I didn't have time to mess with it so I mixed everything together without the sugar syrup. It tasted excellent and I think if I had added the sugar it would have been way to sweet. I will definitely keep this one around because it is so quick, there is no freezing a ring or anything. Very good!

Candied Garlic Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2010
AMAZING!! These turned out SO yummy! I did exactly what the recipe said. I marinated them for about 4 hours. I popped them in the oven and when they came out they were such a beautiful color. We served them with Hooters wing sauce (hot) and they were perfect. The sweet goes good with the spicy! I will defiantly be making these again!

Cola Pot Roast II

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2010
I love the flavor of this recipe! I stuck mine in the crock pot for 4 hours. 2 hours in I added the carrots (I don't like when they get mushy). Instead of adding potatoes, I did mashed potatoes. I used the gravy from the crock and poured it over my potatoes and meat. I was so yummy! For some reason my meat was tough but I think it may have been the cut of meat! I will defiantly be trying this again!

Shepherd's Pie VI

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2010
This was pretty good. The changes that I made were: I did ground turkey instead of ground beef, added a packet of dry gravy mix plus 1 cup of water, 1/4 cup of worchestchire sauce (sorry about the spelling), peas, corn and carrots. I did not mash the carrots, I like chunks better. This makes enough for a couple of meals. Will make this again!

Acorn Squash

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2010
This is delicious and simple, however I do it a little different. I do 2tb. butter, I also add 2tb. raisins, 1 apple sliced and 1/4tsp. nutmeg. I melt the butter in a saucepan and then add the apples and sautee until tender. Then add the raisins and spices just until all mixed together. It turns out delicous, more like a dessert.

Absoultely delicious!! The only thing I did different is use 3 1/2 cups if sugar in the dough and then I kneeded the other 1/2 in (as other reviewers suggeste). I did some with salt and some with cinnamon and sugar. They turned out fablous!! This will definantly be made many times in this house!

Chicken Lo Mein

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2010
This is very yummy but it is very salty. I think next time I won't marinate the chicken because there is enough salt in the sauce and enough sauce to give the chicken flavor. I also only used 1 cup chicken broth and no water. The sauce was perfect and thick. I also added snow peas, mushrooms and portabello mushrooms. Instead of regular noodles I used ramen noodles (as someone else suggested) and they were wonderful! I will definantly make this again! It is so yummy and I will definantly make this again!

Delicious!! I will make this soup over and over again! The only thing I would change is don't add salt. The ham seems to add enough. Thanks for sharing!
