No complaints! This is just what I wanted.

Tangy Slow Cooker Pork Roast

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2012
I did not really like this flavor very much. The pork was indeed very tender, but I thought it was too sweet and too.. well, tangy. I also didn't like the flavor of the steamed/boiled/slow cooked onions. If I was ever to do this again (unlikely), I would brown the outside of the pork first for more flavor and perhaps saute the onions beforehand as well. Onion flavor was too strong.

Chocolate Banana Peanut Butter Shake

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2012
DELICIOUS... except that it's pretty thin for a milk shake. might want to add more ice and then play with your other ratios a little bit. but then again, that's how i always make my shakes--to taste, not by exact measurements

Oatmeal Chocolate Coconut Chewy

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2012
I made these as directed. The combination of coconut and chocolate reminds me of the Samoa Girl Scout cookie. They were really good! They didn't really change shape at ALL in the oven but they might have just been my oven (it's not very good). Great recipe! I'll make these again!

Marinated Flank Steak

Reviewed: May 1, 2011
We enjoyed this immensely! Like other reviewers, we used it for fajitas--and I marinated sliced onions and red & yellow bell peppers right along with it. I sauteed the meat first and added the vegetables in for less than a minute. Yum!

Rice Vinegar Basting Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2011
I found the vinegar scent way too strong for me. I had high hopes, but didn't enjoy the final product until I sprinkled Caribbean Jerk powder on my chicken breasts as well.

Chocolate Mint Candies Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2011
Oh man, these are TO DIE FOR. They have the consistency of a chocolate crinkle (just make sure not to overbake!--take out while still a tad gooey looking) but the mint is the real winner here. Be careful, though, these taste deceptively "light and refreshing," to the point where you can down four or five without batting an eye! Thanks for my new favorite cookie recipe!

Beef Barley Stew

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2010
AWESOME! Used ground beef instead of beef stew meat (it happened to be cheaper), but the wine flavour (and the balsamic vinegar!) is an AMAZING twist on a dish I already love. Will be making this a staple in my recipe repertoire.

Gulab Jamun

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2010
I love gulab jamun, and had a craving to make it. This recipe was tasty, however it wasn't really like the real thing. The dough was very runny, so I used one of those small ice cream scoopers that you squeeze and it clears out the contents. It made decent balls and it definitely kept me from getting messy trying to work with that pancake-y batter with my hands. I liked the syrup, but included more cardamom and added a twinge of imitation butter flavouring. Basically, even though I enjoyed these, they tasted like funnel cakes with syrup on them (in place of the normal topping of powdered sugar). So yes, still good, but mine didn't really taste like the gulab jamun I love.

Naan

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2010
Not overly difficult to make, and tasted AWESOME! Almost like a garlic-y homemade pretzel. Had it with curry and loved it. My husband said it tasted like an Indian version of "the best garlic bread ever."

Blonde Brownies I

Reviewed: May 21, 2009
I made a double batch for the 9X13 pan.. it was so good!! Loved it. My mom used to make "Blondies," as we call them, but this recipe surpassed hers--I'll be letting her know to try them out!! Absolutely LOVED the chewiness..
