I love to cook, although I generally have mixed results, but All Recipes has certainly helped! I don't eat meat, but my husband does, so it makes for intersting recipe choices. I live in the beautiful Rocky Mountains, and never get tired of the fresh air and magnificent views. I have been cooking since I was quite young, and love trying new things. Also, I'm crazy about my 2 cat kids!!!!:)
My favorite things to cook
I love baking, if I could do nothing else, I would be happy. The problem is my husband doesn't like too many sweet things, so I tend to end up eating everything I make.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Definitely Christmas baking. Every year I pour through cookbooks and magazines to make a really big list of what I will make, and I always end up making the same 10 or so things I used to make with my mom as a kid! I remember having a little "Robin Hood Flour" chef hat and apron that I would put on to bake with my "Easy Bake Oven"!
My cooking triumphs
I think my best is Grilled Focacia bread. I also make an excellent Vegetable Phylo Pie for special occasions. My husband loves my Seafood Stuffed Mushrooms.
My cooking tragedies
Last year I bought a pre-stuffed frozen turkey, and unfortunately I followed the directions to cook it as long as you would a thawed bird. We had wonderful side dished for dinner that year, as the turkey wasn't ready until about 10 at night!
