Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2013
This recipe is so simple and so delicious. I used Famous Dave's Zesty & Sweet (I think that's the name) for the BBQ sauce. I've also made this with pork instead of chicken, and it was even better than the chicken. I used a pork tenderloin so that I wouldn't have to try to skim off a lot of fat. Maybe two-thirds of the way through, I removed the tenderloin from the crock pot and used two forks to shred the meat, then I returned the meat to the slow cooker and let it soak up the sauce. My husband said this is one of his favorites of all the dishes I've made.

Granny Smackers

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2012
We used to make these back in college, but we called the concoction "Strip and Go Nakeds". It's tasty but deceptively potent. The last time I drank this I remember very little other than finding myself in the men's bathroom at a college bar. That was 27 years ago, and I'm still a bit scared to drink this.

Garlic Butter

Reviewed: May 29, 2010
I followed the recipe exactly, except used softened butter instead of melted. Our garlic bread was excellent, and I refrigerated the unused garlic butter to use another time.

Pork Tenderloin with Dijon Marsala Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2008 I previously reviewed this dish but had to substitute chardonnay for marsala, which was very good. Last night I made it according to the recipe, and it was by far the best dish I have ever made. My boyfriend said it was delicious enough for any upscale restaurant to serve and is his new favorite dish. Absolutely incredible!
