This recipe is so simple and so delicious. I used Famous Dave's Zesty & Sweet (I think that's the name) for the BBQ sauce. I've also made this with pork instead of chicken, and it was even better than the chicken. I used a pork tenderloin so that I wouldn't have to try to skim off a lot of fat. Maybe two-thirds of the way through, I removed the tenderloin from the crock pot and used two forks to shred the meat, then I returned the meat to the slow cooker and let it soak up the sauce. My husband said this is one of his favorites of all the dishes I've made.

We used to make these back in college, but we called the concoction "Strip and Go Nakeds". It's tasty but deceptively potent. The last time I drank this I remember very little other than finding myself in the men's bathroom at a college bar. That was 27 years ago, and I'm still a bit scared to drink this.

I followed the recipe exactly, except used softened butter instead of melted. Our garlic bread was excellent, and I refrigerated the unused garlic butter to use another time.
