Wine-Braised Beef Brisket

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2014
Excellent! Tender, flavorful brisket. Smartest brisket I know...It Makes it's own gravy! I saved some time, by slicing the onions the night before making the dish. Easy to prepare this meal, just time consuming on cooking. Well worth the wait! Will make again.

Excellent! Easy! Refreshing! Made this salad yesterday for a family BBQ. Everyone was raving about it. I even had someone ask to take the little bit of left over salad home. I will make this again and again this summer!

Shrimp Scampi Bake

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2014
Simple, Simple, Simple! Did I mention this recipe is Simple?!?...Made this today for Father's Day. Was very easy to prepare, as I used frozen uncooked, peeled shrimp. The sauce was easy to prepare, as was the cooking method. I served this over rice. I think the only thing I might do differently next time, is use a little less butter. I will make this again!

Spicy Eggplant

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2013
Very tasty! I made this exact to the recipe. Although the recipe didn't specify, I did peel the eggplant. The only difference, was that I added cooked cubed chicken and served the meal over jasmine rice. Will make again.

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2013
Excellent....The BEST Baked Ziti EVER! I loved this recipe for Baked Ziti. I just made this for the first time yesterday, and I wish I had found it sooner. This was so easy to prepare and very rich and tasty. I made it exactly as the recipe called...I didn't alter it in any way. It makes NO sense to rate and review a recipe that has been altered...So, I made it exactly as written. It was fantastic...and I will be making this for our holiday buffet table.

Spinach Tomato Tortellini

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2013
Anytime I rate and write about a recipe, I make it according to the recipe that has been provided by the cook who posted the recipe. I see no point in rating a recipe that has been modified, and is no longer the original recipe. If, after making the recipe in its original form, I feel that it could use modifications, then I do so, when I make it another time. ~So, with that said, I rate this recipe 4 stars. It was a very good and light meal. I was able to find the can Diced Tomatoes with Garlic and Onion, in my local grocery store. The sauce was flavorful and light, yet clung to the pasta. For days that I want a more hearty meal, I will add crumbled cooked sausage. I will make this again. I will also share this original recipe with my sister, who is a vegetarian.

Death By Chocolate III

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2013
This was such an easy and quick recipe, but didn't taste quick and easy. This was decadant and rich. I didn't have a triffle bowl on hand, so I made individual servings, in 9oz. clear cups. One thing I found, was that I needed more cool whip, so I would suggest 2 (16oz) containers of whipped topping. Other than that I followed the recipe exactly, and got RAVE Reviews. Yes, Best made the day before serving, to let all the flavors and textures meld.

Jalapeno Snacks

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2012
This was a good recipe, but thought using a full packet of Dry Ranch Salad Dressing Mix would be too salty, so I used a 1/2 of the package. Even with 1/2 package, it was too salty...Next time I think I would only use a teaspoon of it, for flavor. Otherwise, the recipe was really tasty.

Mac and Cheese II

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2012
This was a simple and delicious way to make Mac & Cheese, without just opening a box from the supermarket! A few easy steps and you've got a great dinner for the kids. I actually created my own version of a Buffalo Chicken Mac & Cheese, starting with this recipe. I then layered 1/2 the Mac & cheese in a 2 quart casserole dish, then added buffalo chicken (In skillet, melt 1 1/2 Tbl butter, and 1/4 Cup Frank's Hot Sauce. Mix in 1 1/2 Cups cooked, cubed chicken breast). Then top layer is the remainder of the Mac & Cheese. Cover & Bake as directed in this above recipe. ~ This received rave reviews by all at the dinner table. Will make this again!

Cilantro-Lime Dressing

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2012
Excellent! I had a southwestern salad at a local restaurant, and wanted to make the salad at home. I searched for a recipe closest to the Lime Cilantro Dressing served with my salad, and this is the BEST! I made my own Southwestern Salad, with Lettuce, Grilled Chicken, Black Beans, Corn, Tortilla Chip strips, and this dressing. I have served this to guests, and they have raved about it! This dressing is EXCELLENT!!!!!

Red Velvet Cupcakes

Reviewed: May 3, 2012
I followed the advise of another reviewer (The-Baby-Bow-Lady), and found that the revisions wer very helpful. I do, however feel that I need alittle more practice with the icing, as it was a bit runny the day I made the cupcakes. I found that they were actually better and the icing was a quite a bit firmer the second day. I will make these again.
