Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2010
Wow are these GOOD!! These were a big hit with everyone. The only changes I made were 1/2 c butter and 1/2 c crisco. Everything else was the same for the ingredients. I did bake for 9 minutes and cooled on sheets for 10 minutes. Excellent!! Will make again. These are a very rich cookie; have a glass of milk on hand!!

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2009
This was my first attempt at zucchini bread. It was fabulous. As suggested by other reviewers, I did 1/2c oil and 1/2c applesauce, used 1 cup of white sugar, and 1 cup of brown sugar. I also added the recipe for the oatmeal crumb topping from the one reviewer. Everything turned out great. I baked mine in a bundt pan, since I only had one loaf pan. Worked great at 325 for 50 minutes. Terrific!!

Very good, very rich. Tasted a lot like the homemade oreo cheesecake I make.

Urban Legend Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2009
Very good cookie. I received the email of the urban legend. Checked here to see if the reviews were good, which they were! Two things I did different: I didn't add nuts, and I baked at 300, for 18 minutes, cooled on sheet about 1 minute, before removing to the rack. Very good. My picky chocolate chip cookie husband even liked these.

Hawaiian Wedding Cake II

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2009
My mother requested a Hawaiian Wedding Cake for her 50th Birthday party. I chose this recipe because it had the ingredients that she mentioned were in it. She really enjoyed it. Which pleased me. The only thing I did was omit the cherries.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2009
Very good cinnamon buns. I didn't use a bread machine, I used my KitchenAid mixer with dough hook attachment. Worked extremely well. I used 2 active yeast packets instead of the bread yeast that the recipe called for. Made the dough, left it rise for 1 hour in my warmed oven. Rolled it out and cut it into slices. Baked at 350 for 19 minutes. I flipped the pan into another 9X13 like the one reviewer did, to prevent the cinnamon mixture from running out. Worked well. Then I used a double batch of the glaze/icing on top. Very good, time consuming to make, but well worth it.

Bacon Wrapped Hotdogs

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2009
Very tasty when they are freshly made. There not the best when they've sat in a slow cooker on warm for hours. I recommend that they be eaten with in 3-4 hours of making them.

Cinnamon Honey Butter

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2009
This would have been better cut in half with a lot less honey. The original recipe was too sweet and overpowering.

Peanut Butter Pie I

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2008
To save time I also bought an oreo cookie crust. I whipped the heavy whipping cream first with my KitchenAid and then in another bowl mixed the other ingredients. Folded in the heavy whipping cream and garnished with chopped pb cups. Very tasty refrigerated or frozen.

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2008
This was terrific. I used 1/2 cup oil and 1/3 cup of milk instead of all the oil. Delicious. I also used the mini mini chocolate chips. Use 9 inch cake pans. It will bake over with 8 inch ones. I iced the cake with fluffy peanut butter icing from this website. My picky mother loved it!

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2008
This was delicious! My mother who uses all the "old time" recipes, and who thinks they are the best, actually agreed with me that this recipe is much better than the one that was passed down through the years. Very, very good!! I like the fact that it is made with butter instead of vegetable oil. Our old recipe tasted just like that...OIL!! Not this one. It is a keeper. She even asked me to pass this recipe to her!! Thank you for sharing.

Easy Vodka Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2008
This was excellent! My husband likes vodka sauce from the restaurants and he claims that this recipe is it!! I would definitely cut the recipe in half. It made way too much sauce for 2 people.

Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2008
My family definitely like this. I doubled the sauce because it would have made the dish dry. I like my pasta to be creamy. Overall, I would say that this is the very close to the alfredo sauce served at my local Italian restaurant.

Sweet Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2008
I followed the reviews by K PRAPER and Chars3girls because I also did not have a bread machine. I used my KitchenAid Mixer with the dough hook. Everything turned out well. I also made the rolls from balls instead of the crescents. Baked them at 375 F for 15 minutes. The family loved them. They put in a request to have these at the holidays instead of the store bought biscuits or crescents.

Old Fashioned Coconut Cream Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2008
This was terrific! My hunt is over for the perfect coconut cream pie. I have been looking for 10 years. I did substitute corn starch for the flour. Next time I might try to use half of the milk with coconut milk. When cooking the mixture on the stove it will take awhile for the mixture to thicken, be patient, it is worth it!! Delicious!!
