Black-Eyed Pea Dip
I recently prepared this very for our Family & Friends Day at our home and it was a huge hit!!! However, I did make a couple of changes; the picture of this BLACK-EYED PEA DIP shows "corn" as an ingredient, but the recipe doesn't mention anything about adding corn. What I did was add fresh New Jersey "sweet corn" (boiled and the cut from the cob), instead of sugar and added the juice of 1 lime. Again, this recipe was a hit! Thanks for sharing.

Oatmeal Raisin Cookies IV
Fairly good recipe. However, I followed each step, baked the cookies and then realized something important was missing! The Salt!!! The actual recipe mentions nothing about salt. In all my baking years I have only used UNSALTED butter. This good recipe needs an edit - 1 teaspoon of salt.

It Won't Last Cake
The very name of this cake convinced me to attempt to make it. I did -- and the entire family and now many of my friends love it!!! I made the cake in a bundt pan and it too came out dark, though I used bleached AP flour. I deviated from the recipe somewhat - adding a bit more banana, cherries and pecans. This cake is now one of those cakes that everyone is asking for at my home. Thanks for the recipe.
