Growing up all my mom let me do in the kitchen was dishes and baking. Today I still hate doing dishes but still enjoy baking. I am still learning how to do a little of this and a little of that and voila a good dish! I usually follow recipes to the letter but my boyfriend is teaching me to use them more as a guide. I'm enjoying cooking more and more.

Sausage Stuffing
Greta recipe! I didn't stuff the bird with it. Instead I baked it in a pan so had to add chicken broth for the moisture and it turned out great! I also didn't toast my bread, but that is a personal preference. Why toast bread you're going to put moisture in? Thanks for sharing!

Armadillo Eggs
Thanks for sharing a great recipe! It is time consuming but oh so worth it! First time we made this we cut the peppers in half, cleaned them, put the cheese in the center of on, topped with the other half then put the sausage mixture around it. Second time we left the peppers whole, cut off the end, and used a older metal potato peeler to clean out the membrane and seeds, stuffed it with cheese, then put sausage mixture around it. Didn't get all the seeds and membranes out so some were hot and some weren't. Both times, however, they quickly vanished off the serving plate! We bought a block of Monterey Cheese and cut pieces to fit inside the peppers. We used shredded for the sausage mixture and it worked great. We did have to play with the baking mix/sausage mixture to get to where we could handle it without it being all sticky but we will definitely be making this again!

Mom's Chicken
Made this for a crowd and served on top of Southwestern Rice by Michell D. from this site. Rave reviews it was such a hit! I forgot the dry onion soup mixed and was afraid it wouldn't turn out. I added garlic salt & pepper to the sauce and, after pouring it over the chicken, I sprinkled finely diced onions over it so I could get the onion flavor. Despite the rave reviews I will use the dry onion soup mix next time! Thanks for sharing a great recipe! I will be making this again and i may do as other reviewers suggested and try Raspberry instead of Plum, though the Plum was great!
