I live in a rural part of the country and am a member of the local art centre where I enjoy the company of other "like" ladies who enjoy dabbling in drawing sketching and painting.I like to entertain at home and am keen to collect new recipes in all aspects of cooking.

hmmm there have been many along the years but the bane of New Zealand cooks, and I'm no exception is the pavlova I HAVE had some success but would love to find a fail safe recipe .

Classic Meatloaf
No haven't tried this recipe yet but am going to make it for tonight's dinner. I think the problem with the oven temp is that the conversion from centigrade to Fahrenheit has been incorrectly calculated The Fahrenheit setting should read 325*approx. hope this helps.----325= 160/170- 3- Moderate 3 being the gas temp Recipe sounds great to me.

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes
My version is different than this - but both are good! I never use onions , nor do I make a cheese sauce.Instead rub a garlic clove around the dish.Layer potatoes, cheese (and I use gruyere,)and CREAM alternate, ending with cream . This is how the french chef made it in the restaurant I worked in.

Raspberry Almond Kiss Cookies
can you help me out with the equivalent of "all purpose" flour. I'm in New Zealand and am familiar with our plain-(standard and high grade),and self raising. as there is no baking powder in your recipe I'm presuming maybe mistakenly that it is self raising flour thats used.but perhaps the baking soda is taking the place of baking powder?(raising agent).I would love to try this recipe but the correct ingredients are essential and I wouldn't want to spoil it for the want of using the "correct grade" flour.HELP! :-) I'll be happy to post the result after "the event" but I love the sound of "almond" one of my favourite flavours and sounds like a 5 to me :-)
