I'm at a stay at home mom and my family used to eat a lot of fast food. Literally everyday, we'd go out to a fast food establishment and order the same meals. Well we started gaining weight (obviously) and I knew it really wasn't healthy for us in the long run. So I said we weren't going to eat fast food anymore. And I meant it! I bought a new cook book and started looking online for a dinner recipe everyday, and instead of driving our car to a fast food place, I drive to the grocery store instead. I save money and we're eating healthier!

I love to cook any of the recipes I grew up on, like Green Bean Casserole or Pork Chops, Sauerkraut, and Dumplings.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I come from a very large family (over 14 aunts and uncles and more than 30 cousins) and every Thanksgiving and Christmas, my family gathers together in one home and cooks the evening's meal with each other.

I finally learned how to make Meringue Cookies without screwing up the egg part of it!
My cooking tragedies
When I was really little, about three or four, I made a weird concoction of ingredients that included milk, eggs, and some other items. I gave it to my mom as a present. She ate it and said she had the runs for days afterwards!
