Shrimp Lemon Pepper Linguini

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2009
YUM! with a few changes other suggested. Used 3 TBSP olive oil to saute garlic. Wanted to increase sauce ~ used 3/4 C chicken broth, 1/2 C white wine, left out the lemon zest (didn't want it too lemony), reduced pepper to 1 tsp., sliced large shrimp down the middle. Kept the rest as directed.Very nice taste and so easy. Will make often. Thanks.

New Year's Day Black-Eyed Peas

I opted out of using the tomatoes. Used 1 14oz can of chicken broth & 2 cans of water with plenty of Tony Chachere's Creole Seasoning. The best I've ever had!

Slow Cooker Turkey Breast

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2009
Giving 5 stars for the idea of cooking turkey in a slow cooker. Made some changes ~ used 2 boneless breast halves just under 3 lbs total. Salt/Pepper turkey. Omitted the onion soup (my opinion tastes like a frozen dinner) Used a can of Campbells Cream of Chicken Soup, 1 onion thinly sliced and a teaspoon of thyme. Cook high for 1 hr, set to low for 3 hrs. Gravy is done also! Yum

A Simply Perfect Roast Turkey

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2009
It's true ~ perfect turkey. You can use chicken broth as it is more readily available. And the gravy, made from the drippings and chicken broth has more flavor than turkey stock. Thanks for sharing

Party Pinwheels

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2009
These are fun and easy and everyone enjoys them. I made two changes ~ used only 1/2 ranch dressing mix (too salty otherwise) and diced olives as the first time I made them I felt the need to chop the sliced olives a bit. Definately use the sun-dried tomato/basil and/or the spinach tortillas. Makes the presentation!

Pasta e Fagioli a la Chez Ivano

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2009
This is the absolute best! Decided to make this as an add-on for a party. It was cold outside. Put the big pot on the buffet table with styro bowls and spoons. They all but licked the pot. Prefer fresh garlic ~ used 1 and a 1/3 BULBS of garlic and grated it. Agreed with another viewer and cooked the pasta separate al dente (I used ditallini). Put the pasta in only 1 minite before serving. Yumola! Great reviews from my guests also. Thanks for sharing.

Teriyaki Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2009
One word ~ WONDERFUL! Moist and so delish. But do not disguard marinade. Transfer to a small pot and cook. When tenderloin is done remove from pan. Put pan on stove, add a little water to drippings and loosen. Pour cooked marinade into pan and reduce in half. Pour over tenderloin.

Blue Cheese and Pear Tartlets

So quick and easy. They were a definate hit. But serves 15 means only 1/guest. Be mindful of this and how many your guests might eat. Thanks for this one.
