Cinnamon Rolls I

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2008
Great recipe! I used the vanilla glaze also found on this site for the top. I'm always nervous to work with yeast and this has come out great everytime. I've made it once the night before and once the same day and both times they were yummy. I increase the filling a little bit because I love gooey rolls.

Perfect Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2008
I used fresh pumpkin from Halloween and was afraid it would come out gross but it was great. I also prebaked the crust for about 6 minutes because some of the reviewers said their crust came out raw in the center. Mine was fine with the prebake and not overdone. I also increased the spices as recommended by some users. I only gave it a 4 because I still want to tweek the spices a bit. But I'll be making 2 for Christmas this year!

Pumpkin Muffins II

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2009
Very yummy and easy to make. I added a streusel topping. The 12 serving size makes about 24 of the regular muffin liner sized muffins. Not sure if 12 servings are for a large muffin tin.

Bake Sale Lemon Bars

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2009
I followed the listed directions and there was very little lemon topping. The crust is fine but there is very little lemon flavor, I love lemon and lemon bars and ended up not eating these. Trying again using gourmetmommy's directions. I don't know how recipes get rated so highley when 500+ people prefer the altered version of it, isn't that just preferring a different recipe?

Savory Vegetable Beef Stew

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2010
Very tastey. I tried it in a crock pot but I didn't have enough time for it to cook. I dumped it into a Dutch Oven to finish it up. It has great flavor and the meat just fell apart. My first time making it and I followed the directions and juse added some celery as the other reviews said.

Pumpkin Bread IV

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2010
Yummy. I tried it with subbed applesauce and my husband and I loved it. I didn't tell him it had no oil until after he raved about it.

Breakfast Kolaches

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2011
Great recipe as is. For those of you who are curious about what kolaches are like, they are sort of a biscuit with a filling inside. The only thing is that the number of dough balls is an overestimate. I usually get 18-20 balls per batch of dough. I use lil' smokies (the precooked sausage) inside mine. I let them get to room temp before I wrap them up in the balls of dough. Occasionally I will put 1/4 of a square of American Cheese inside. Canned pie filling can be used for a sweet version.

Colorful and Edible Play Dough

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2011
I omit the drink mix and just use food coloring. I like to use gel decorator coloring because it makes really bold colors.

Baby Back Ribs

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2012
I've never made ribs before and these were great! I'm made this recipe about 6 times now and it's a favorite. The recommendation to broil them for 5-10 minutes is spot on.
