My favorite family cooking traditions
I have a korean mom, so anything korean wins my heart, especially if it's done my mom's way, which usually omits the fishy ingredients. we love the new year and birthday soups! and my fiance is the kuchen baker, yum!

korean bbq for the 2nd time came out delicious! and kimchi making for the first time as well! never thought i could do it :)
My cooking tragedies
korean bbq for the first time...lol thought my mouth was going to dry up on the first bite - too much soy sauce makes it wayyyy too salty!

Jalapeno Popper Spread
This morning I was in a pinch--I forgot that we had a Cinco de Mayo potluck at work and had to scramble to figure out a dish. A quick search brought me to this recipe and I am so grateful! This was soooo easy to throw together with one quick run to the store, and it tastes delicious! I followed the recipe exactly as is, the only thing I think I would change is to add 2x as many jalapenos but that's because I like the spice. Even as is, it's quite good :) Thank you for this life saving recipe!

J.P.'s Big Daddy Biscuits
While this recipe makes AMAZING biscuits, my absolute favorite thing to use it for is the dumplings in any chicken/vegetable and dumpling recipe. Instead of using any boxed mix or the canned biscuits, I highly recommend whipping up a batch of this batter and dropping them as dumplings. They are utter perfection. Fluffy and light, yet stick to your ribs comfort food and incredibly satisfying. This has made *everyone* I've made it for's mouth water and they all come back for seconds, even though they're full!

Italian Herb Bread I
YUM! So I didn't have garlic or onion powder, so I omitted those ingredients. I used fresh minced garlic instead, and brushed the tops with rosemary and olive oil before putting them in the oven, and my whole house just smelled wonderful! The bf and brother loved it with a little pat of butter on it. Very good - very dense, though, next time I'm going to try to find a way to make it less of a dense bread. Great flavor though and very easy :)
