Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2014
WOW! I just made this recipe 99% as written (added extra banana). I didn't even read the reviews which is really unusual for me. These muffins were absolute perfection. I'm thinking they should probably be illegal. Holy cow. Amazing. Thank you for sharing!

Egg and Sausage Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2014
I used the "most helpful" review and made the low fat version (for 196 calories a serving!). Even my picky 2 year old asked for seconds! I used ingredients I ha on hand. Reduced fat crescent rolls, turkey sausage, egg beater equivalent of 6 eggs, 4 Danish eggs, 3/4 cup fat free half and half, sprinkled 1 oz of 1/3 reduced fat cream cheese on top of sausage, 1/2 cup 2% cheddar in egg mixture and 1 cup full fat cheddar on top (all I had). I imagine you could reduce the fat and calories by using all 2% cheese. This was fantastic. Thank you!

Butternut Squash Soup with a Kick

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2012
Oh my goodness!!!! WOW!!! Loved it. I roasted the squash, onions, and garlic first. I did omit the jalepeno just because I have to little mouths to feed. The 6 yr old wasn't a fan but the 1 yr old loved it. My husband and I both...well...scraped our bowls (embarrassed face). Oh and I put a dollop of Thai green curry paste into our individual bowls. It was sooooo wonderful. Thank you so much!

Beef Yakitori

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2012
This was wonderful and I don't usually give recipes a 5. I usually tap out at 4. I followed the marinade recipe to a T. I used thin cut top sirloin steak and let it marinade for 5 hours. I then skewered it and grilled on high heat for about 2 minutes on each side. It was lightly charred on the outside and so tender on the inside. My husband and I argued over who got to eat the leftovers for lunch. We decided to split it but I've got my eye on him!! Wonderful! Thank you so much for sharing.

Actually Delicious Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2012
Loved it! My father and children loved it! I used all of the suggested modifications. I added liquid smoke, soy sauce packet, splash of worcestershire, and used flour to create the crust. I served them with Gouda cheese, sautéed mushrooms and on top of a piece of Texas toast. We had baked French fries and steamed artichokes (used the allrecipe for this) too. Wonderful dinner!!!!

Maple Salmon

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2012
This was a lot better than some of the other honey salmon recipes. I found it to be just sweet enough. I made it with the chicken bouillon rice recipe from the site and the two complimented each other perfectly. Very pleasantly surprised. I will say it did not please the kiddos so I would not rate as kid friendly necessarily.

Theses were absolutely wonderful! They were better than the ones from my favorite restaurants. I made no modifications. The dipping sauces were wonderful too. Thank you so much for posting!

Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: May 1, 2012
I have to give this a 5 because my 6 year old cleared her plate! She's not exactly picky but kind of hard to impress. My 8 month old loved it too! I followed the recipe to a t and served it with pasta. FANTASTIC! Thank you so much sharing.

Pressed Smoked Salmon Mousse Appetizer

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2012
I thought they were wonderful. However, I made them for a party and nobody touched them. Maybe if you take them to a baby or bridal shower as opposed to a cook out, they would be more well received. :( Lesson learned....know your audience!

Tomato Chicken Parmesan

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2012
I modified by mixing a half jar of Alfredo with a half jar of regular spaghetti sauce to make pink sauce. I layered 1/4 of the sauce on bottom of dish, then a half package of al dente spaghetti noodles, then 1/2 cup shredded cheese. I put the cooked chicken on top, spooned the rest of the sauce and sprinkled with a cup of shredded mozzarella. From there, baked as directed. My 6 yr old LOVED it and I thought it was great too.

S.O.P.P.

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2011
Hilarious how such a simple dish could be such a hit with the family! When I read the reviews I thought it was strange that people were commenting on how much their diners enjoyed it. Sure enough, my husband and five-year old BOTH were going crazy over it and requested that it become a regular dinner! I used Turkey Italian Style (sweet) sausage and red potatoes. I did add garlic powder, salt and pepper and used some chicken stock. I gave them shredded cheese to add as they wanted. I also threw some in a frying pan, the next morning, with a fried egg and it was fabulous!

Tomato Cucumber Salad with Mint

Reviewed: May 27, 2009
I really love this recipe!! I substituted splenda for sugar to keep it low cal. The key is definitely putting the fresh mint in last, right before you serve. It was FANTASTIC!
