Mongolian Strawberry-Orange Juice Smoothie

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2010
More like a slush than a smoothie, but still delicious. I subbed with Splenda. 2 servings = 1.5 PointsPlus (This entire recipe would serve only 2 people, not 4)

KFC Coleslaw - Knock Off

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2011
After 36 years of marriage, my husband decided to complain about my coleslaw! So I've gone through recipe after recipe looking for one that he really likes. I finally found it! Thanks so much, Baking Nana.

Soft Garlic Breadsticks

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2011
Delicious, light breadsticks! I made them per the recipe except instead of using fresh basil, I used 1/2 tsp. dried. I also used 1 1/2 tsp. bread machine yeast. After they were done, I brushed on the butter and sprinkled parmesan cheese on top. My husband and son raved about them and were very impressed I had made them. (Next step, to make them all uniform in appearance)

You can't get any easier or faster than this. I added 1 tsp. chili powder to this recipe after making it the first time.

This tastes good enough to serve adults for the Christmas dessert, but is also a great way to teach children the true meaning of Christmas.

Peppermint Meringues

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2011
Oh my! These little things are addictive! I mixed as directed, but folded some crushed peppermint into the mixture before piping them onto parchment paper. I baked them exactly 1 1/2 hours and cooled them in the oven with the door ajar for 1 hour. Perfect!

Cinnamon Roll-Ups

These are a must make for holidays. They go on the appetizer buffet alongside the sausage balls, chocolate chip cheese ball, and oyster crackers! I also make them for baby and bridal showers.

Marinated Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2011
I love this salad! I accidentally used regular white vinegar instead of the white wine vinegar and it turned out great. I also subbed Splenda for the sugar.

Candice's Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2011
This recipe makes great sugar cookies that are going to be iced or sprinkled with colored sugar. Not too sweet. Just right. I topped with Candice's Sugar Cookie Icing.

Candice's Sugar Cookie Icing

I found this very easy to spread with the back of a spoon. I even colored it and spread it with a paint brush. It made beautiful Christmas cookies. I put it on Candice's Sugar Cookies.

Ultimate Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2012
I really liked the flavor of this soup. Just potato soup without any "cream of" flavoring or sour cream or all those other add-ins. Because of so many "too salty" comments, I only added 2 tsp. of chicken flavored Better than Bouillon. It was perfect for me, but my husband still added salt to his. I used fat-free half and half, and it turned out fine. The only issue I had was way too much liquid for the potatoes. I just spooned potatoes in the bowl and then added liquid. So problem solved. Now I have a lot of liquid to which I am adding more boiled potatoes and onions to make another meal of this delicious soup.

Pineapple Bake

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2012
My family loved this! I decided to use only 1/2 cup Splenda, and it tasted wonderful. Plenty sweet. The cooking time was only about 40 minutes. I will probably omit the cinnamon next time because a pinch really doesn't add to the taste, but it does detract from appearance. ***Oh, My! This stuff is delicious cold, straight from the refrigerator the next day!

Easy and delicious! I prepped it yesterday and slow cooked it today. I used turkey kielbasa, and it turned out great. Probably the best eaten thing on my buffet today.
