Hamburger Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2009
This was a fun cake to make! A little stressful in the beginning because I didn't have any brown food coloring for the bun, so I used a little chocolate frosting in the vanilla frosting. I also used some green dye in the coconut flakes for lettuce and only did the ketchup and mustard. For the seeds on top of the bun, I used slivered almonds. Brought on great excitement in my son's classroom.

Orange Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2012
Really enjoyed this cake. Quick and easy! The frosting needed a little more orange to it (in my opinion) so maybe some orange rind might make it taste better.

Stuffed Cabbage Rolls

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2010
Very good recipe, but I did make some changes after reading some of the reviews. Instead of salt and pepper I added an Onion soup mix. Then for the sauce on top, I added 1 can of tomato soup and one small can of tomato sauce, sprinkled some worcester sauce and brown sugar on top with a little water. Good stuff!

Pot Stickers Traditional

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2010
Very good pot stickers! I did not cook the meat ahead of time, just placed it right into the wrappers, browned them and then steamed.

Fry Bread Tacos II

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2010
Very good and tasty! I divided up the dough into 8 portions so they were easier to serve and eat. I also omitted the beans and salsa step and just threw black beans into the meat after it was browned. It's a keeper! =)

Chocolate Covered Marshmallows

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2011
I made these for my son's scout troop and they loved them! I did half semisweet and half milk chocolate chips and then dipped them in rice crispy cereal for some added crunch. I also used the giant marshmallows, which I think were a little too big but a fun visual. =)

Wacky Cake VIII

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2011
Very good recipe! I mix it all up in a bowl first and then pour it into a greased pan. Also made a glaze with 2 Tbsp. butter, 3-4 Tbsp. cocoa powder, 3/4 cup powdered sugar and 3Tbsp hot water. Melted the butter, added the cocoa and then the powdered sugar. Added the hot water to smooth it out. Pour on warm cake and let cool. =)

Best Lemonade Ever

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2011
Very good recipe! I didn't add in all of the simple syrup and I added the rind from 1 lemon. Gives it a more refreshing taste. Tastes great when you stick some in a bowl, put it in the freezer and make it a little slushy like.

Classic Waffles

Very tasty waffles! Just made them and enjoyed them very much. I also did as other had suggested with whipping up the egg whites and then folding them in at the end. I got 6 waffles out of this.

Lemon Sugar Tea Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2011
Very good recipe! I omitted the lemon extract and used the rind from 1 lemon, 2 tsp. lemon juice and 1/8 tsp of salt with the salted butter. After the cookies set for awhile they lose some of the lemony flavor but still a yummy cookie!!
