About this Cook
I am a serious "foodie". I love everything about food from growing vegetables to preparing it to serving it. I have owned a cafe in the past and having closed it in 2002, I've decided to reopen. I am currently pursuing equipment and furnishings to run a new cafe.
My favorite things to cook
Although I love to cook, I have a particular interest in baking. Of all baking, cookies have to be at the top of the list. From drop to cutouts, I honest believe that we could achieve world peace with the right cooking and I have THAT recipe!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I grew up watching my mom. aunt and my grandma "fixin" dinner. It is a lost art. Gone are the days of starting dinner in the early afternoon. Families now eat whatever they can pick up at the drive-thru. Sad, but true.
My cooking triumphs
My "Fish Market Apple Pie" took First Place in a pie baking contest. It was pretty darn good!
My cooking tragedies
I used my spare "sugar" in a batch of cookies which actually turned out to be salt. Yuk.

Very easy, very good. Must bake on parchment. Let cool before removing. Add a little vanilla to egg yolk mixture. Sprinkle with powdered sugar before stacking.

Key Lime Pie VII
Deelish! Baked 20 minutes. 5-8 was like "why bother". Instead of graham cracker crust, I crumbled butter cookies and mixed with sugar and butter. I also used bottled fresh lime juice. Makes my mouth water just thinkin' 'bout it!

Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili
Perfect in every way. I put over spaghetti. I used one can of mild chili beans and one can of hot chili beans and it is my new favorite chili recipe.
