About this Cook
I love to cook for friends/family and entertain, share new recipes (and old favorites) with my coworkers. I have 2 daschunds to keep me company...their job when I cook is floor patrol.... As a young girl growing up in rural Illinois, I learned to cook early, mostly basic, country food -- meat and potatoes -- and dessert, of course. As an adult, I've learned to cook healthier dishes, too, but still enjoy hearty country cooking.
My favorite things to cook
Chicken, of any sort...roast, holiday meals, desserts, tasty healthy food.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Baking cookies at Christmas, holiday meals.
My cooking tragedies
At 11 years old my obsession was chocolate (and sometimes still is). I was a pro at making rice pudding and one day decided to make a variation -- chocolate rice pudding. Well, only one word for that -- Gross!!
