This dressing is GREAT. a few of the kids weren't overly fond of it but it was a hit with the adults.A nice switch up for once in awhile.

Orzo and Tomato Salad with Feta Cheese

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2009
This is FABULOUS !. I left out the parsley because it tastes grassy to me. and I used Dill paste insteadof fresh because thats what I had.. It turned out great,I sprinkled a little parsley flakes over top for the heck of it.

Scott Hibb's Amazing Whisky Grilled Baby Back Ribs

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2009
I threw a huge BBQ for my daughters 25th birthday.I follwed this recipe to a tee except that after I baked the ribs, I allowed them to cool completely then before putting them on the BBQ I put them in my smoker for 1-1/2 hours over Hickory Chips.I used the exact same recipe for my chicken wings and also smoked them too. everyone raved about both. Ive already been asked to do these ribs at our next family birthday. like one reader stated the sauce is time consuming to make, but its worth it, and once youve tried it , its hard to go back to any other.

Scalloped Potatoes and Onions

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2009
I thought this recipe was very good. It tastes very similar to the one that calls for a can of vream of chicken soup a can of cream of celery soup and half a cup of mayonaise. We liked it . but it lacked the WOW I was hoping for.

Chocolate Cookie Mix in a Jar

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2009
this is really a great recipe.I made about 2 dozen of these jars as Christmas gifts.I gave this along with soup in a jar from this site, both had large festive cloth ribbon bows.I made my own recipe cards, that doubled as christmas cards and attached one to each jar. I packages both in one large gift bag , along with a shiny new soup ladle, a wooden spoon and two new handmade dish clothes .in some jars I put white chocolate chips and tiny m&m's . in others I put raisins and toffee chunks. your imagine can really soar here!

Mozzarella Meat Loaf

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2008
This was extremelly good meatloaf. It would have been absolutely perfect If I had used beef. I used moosemeat. My sons and husband loved it but I'm not much for wild meat. But even "I" had to admit it was GOOD! I used 4 cheese italiano mix cheese and substituted bottled pizza sauce for the tomato sauce. GREAT !

Peanut Butter Pie 2000

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2008
this is really a good recipe. We liked it the first time.the second time, I was looking for a bit of a change. so I used a pakage of instant chocolate pudding omitted one cup of the milk on the box instructions and mixed half of the prepared pudding into the pie filling. I reserved some of the whipped topping and used the other half the pudding in it, whipped it with the mixer til it was fluffy and spread that on top of the pie. DELICIOUS!!

Pretzel Turtles

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2008
I thought this would be a good "beginner" recipe for my granddaughters, who are just little fledgling bakers. They LOVED making them , they are simple enough they needed next to no supervision and they were SOOO proud of thier handy work. all the kids raved about them and they were gone in record time. Like one reviewer said "double the recipe" Its a hit ! and its somthing the kids can make for thier own school bake sales and functions !

Premier White Brownies

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2008
The flavor of these was wonderful. But my family found them dense and a little dry and cake like. Maybe I just baked them a little to long but still feel they should of been a little more moist then what my extra four minutes time warranted.Nice for an alternative tho' with its unique flavor.

Creamy Beet Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2008
I was a little bit disappointed in this salad. everyone at our gathering ate it, and I didnt get any bad commentsm but I also didnt get any compliments. I found it somewhat lacking in flavor, but it was definately a little more flavorful the next day. It makes a pretty presentation, but it lacks the pazazz that would have made it more memorable, and the kind of recipe that someone would say " ohhhh could ya make THAT again!?".

Homesteader Cornbread

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2008
this has got to be the moistest cornbread! I have tried ALOT of cornbread recipies and this is by far the best. The old saying that cornbread is so dry it just about caves your head in to swallow, and that if its moist it isnt cornbread its CAKE..certainly doesnt apply here. This is definatley moist, sweet, great textured cornbread!
