Molten Chocolate Cakes With Sugar-Coated Raspberries

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2012
This recipe is a winner! I took a big chance and made this for the first time for Christmas dessert. I used ramekins instead of the papers but otherwise followed the recipe exactly using quality chocolate - oh, and I made them a few hours ahead and brought to room temp before cooking. Every plate was clean and even a 15 year old niece asked for the recipe. Great, great recipe. This is one of those recipes I thought was way above my baking skills but surprisingly easy and quick. The results are just like the lava cakes in restaurants!

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2011
I read many of the reviews and tips and decided to make the recipe "as is" as a baseline. These cookies are great! Many compliments at a party. I did follow the advice of carefully watching for overbaking and left them on the pan to cool. Also, I did refrigerate the batter for an hour before baking. I give this 5-stars in the original version. I may try some of the tips in the future but this is a keeper! Thanks Dora --

Easy Fruit Cobbler

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2010
Easy. Quick. Tasty. I made this with fresh blueberries (1 pint). One bowl, one pan, no mess. The batter mixes up in a minute then just pop in the oven. Nothing could be easier! I served it warm and it was very good. This is a great family dessert, not quite fancy enough for company. Heads up: baking times vary. Mine was done after 40 minutes, not the recommended 1 hour. I followed the recipe exactly.

Pumpkin Bundt Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2010
This is a very nice cake. I followed another reviewer's tip and used a cream cheese frosting/glaze and also baked the cake for 45 minutes. Oh, and I doubled the pie spice too, again from the other reviewer's tip. It was a delicious cake. I brought it to a party and it was completely devoured with many compliments. I made it a second time, using the entire can of pie filling which a couple of reviewers mentioned. I don't recommend this, the second cake was a little too moist/gooey at the bottom. I will make this again using 1 cup of pie filling as directed. It was easy, nice looking and very flavorful.

Phoenician's Key Lime Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2009
Everyone who likes Key Lime Pie should make this recipe - even novice bakers. It's delicious and so easy to make. In the past, I always used a store-bought graham cracker crust. NEVER AGAIN!!! The crust is so easy to make and the difference in taste is remarkable. The cream is definitely a secret ingredient that changes the recipe from good to great. I thought the lime flavor was perfect, following this recipe exactly. Anyone who likes a strong lime flavor might want to add more juice. I used bottled key lime juice; can't easily get the key limes in Boston.

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2009
Very, very good! I used butter, not margarine, creamy peanut butter and chunks instead of chips. They are moist, tasty with just enough peanut butter. Watch the time on cooking - everyone seems to have a variation on the baking time. Mine were around 15 minutes - done, but not overcooked. My family said to "make these again!" Thanks Clarice for a great cookie recipe!

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2009
This is the perfect recipe for Chocolate Covered Strawberries. Others I've tried were too heavy on the shortening. I always use waxed paper and they firm up in the fridge in less than 30 minutes. A quick, easy, delicious dessert. People ask me to bring them to parties!

Peanut Butter Cup Brownies

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2008
Great, quick and easy treat. I took advice offered by Naples34102 and followed the box mix directions (not the stated recipe) and used the foil liners. I brought these to my niece's (11th) birthday party and they were a hit with both the kids and the adults.
