Grilled Salmon I

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2011
I'm not a fan of salmon(or any fish really) because it always leaves that fishy aftertaste. But with this marinade I don't get that at all!!The taste is so great,it could just as well be chicken!!I love it! I do cut back on both the sugar and the oil for dieting purposes, but it comes out great anyway!!This is a real favorite in our house, liked by all(fish and non fish lovers)

Blue Cheese, Bacon and Chive Stuffed Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2011
This is such a great recipe. We had this for second Christmas day dinner with guests and it was liked by everyone. We followed the suggestions of some other reviewers and substitued some of the blue cheese with feta.We also used pork loin instead of pork chops. It turned out delicious, even though next time I'll probably go for blue cheese only,it was tasty but I just love blue cheese(didn't want it too overpowering this time, since we had guests). All in all a great recipe, perfect for a special occassion!

Balsamic Roasted Pork Loin

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2011
This was great! We had this for second Christmas day dinner and had guests and it was gone in no time!!We tried two different pork loin recipes, combined about 2 kg of meat and it was almost completely gone so a huge success!!! Only thing we changed next time(we made it again on New years) was adding a bit less vinegar cause it was a little bit overpowering for us the first time around!!But this recipe is great, and the meat comes out moist and tender and delicious!

Cheese and Bacon Potato Rounds

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2011
Not a huge fan of those.I was looking forward having these for Christmas dinner as they looked delicious and the ratings were great and usually on this site when something has a lot of good ratings it's genuinly great. I wanted to like these, but the taste just fell flat, couldn't taste much of anything else from the ingredients other than the potato itself.Maybe they would be better if sour cream was added, but couldn't find it so had them without. They weren't that bad,but given the time that went into making them and the less than amazing taste they had I'm sticking to fries!

Watermelon Pops

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2010
Those are very easy and fast to make.I've made them both as pops and as a cake. You must be very carefull one layer has set before pouring the other on top of it.I didn't quite like the taste of frozed jell-o but loved the middle cream cheese layer.Friends and family loved the whole thing. And the look of it is really great!

Banana Fruit Smoothie

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2008
I also used frozen bananas like many people here suggested and the first time added 1 cup of pineapple juice and a teaspoon white sugar(cause I didn't have honey) and it came out pretty thick, like ice cream, very yummy(and healthy).Second time I added a bit more pineapple juice and no sugar/honey whatsoever,it came out good but I liked the taste the first time better(with the sugar)...Deff will make it again and this time I'll use honey.

Caramelized-Onion Pork

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2008
Delicious!!I also used more onions(as we love them) and the second time I made it I had the meat already sliced in servings, which made it easier to serve, the meat wasn't as tender though...I did add more salt and pepper since we like our meat to have a strong taste and the first time we found the meat alone(not when topped with the onions since the onions give a wonderful taste) to be a bit bland...We love this recipe and will make it over and over again!!!Thanks!

Sweet and Sour Chicken Nuggets

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2008
Perfect....I followed the idea in a review of some one here(Chef4Six) and made the sauce a bit different(did add the soy sauce though)...They turned out great...Served them with Cheddar cheese mashed potatoes and my brother said it was just like eating at TGI Friday's and he needs the recipe if he ever brings a girl home ;)
