My favorite family cooking traditions
Christams turkey dinner.We've had it since I was a baby and we will never change it(once we did and then we made it for New year's day...we missed it so much).These last couple of years I choose and cook a recipe for second Xmas day...
My cooking triumphs
Well I usually make something special when we are having company or for a party....never had any complaints,always very positive feedback...I guess the nicest things said to me where that I make some dishes better than my mom(who's an excellent cook) and that one of my dishes was so good it felt like eating out :D
My cooking tragedies
Well I've made some pretty bad stuff,but mostly because I'm a picky eater and didn't like it(while the rest enjoyed it,or at least they said they did)...for example many years ago I made fish goulash....everybody ate it,except me...I ordered out ;)

Grilled Salmon I
I'm not a fan of salmon(or any fish really) because it always leaves that fishy aftertaste.But with this marinade I don't get that at all!!The taste is so great,it could just as well be chicken!!I love it! I do cut back on both the sugar and the oil for dieting purposes,but it comes out great anyway!!This is a real favorite in our house,liked by all(fish and non fish lovers)

Blue Cheese, Bacon and Chive Stuffed Pork Chops
This is such a great recipe.We had this for second Christmas day dinner with guests and it was liked by everyone.We followed the suggestions of some other reviewers and substitued some of the blue cheese with feta.We also used pork loin instead of pork chops.It turned out delicious,even though next time I'll probably go for blue cheese only,it was tasty but I just love blue cheese(didn't want it too overpowering this time,since we had guests).All in all a great recipe,perfect for a special occassion!

Balsamic Roasted Pork Loin
This was great!We had this for second Christmas day dinner and had guests and it was gone in no time!!We tried two different pork loin recipes,combined about 2 kg of meat and it was almost completely gone so a huge success!!! Only thing we changed next time(we made it again on New years) was adding a bit less vinegar cause it was a little bit overpowering for us the first time around!!But this recipe is great,and the meat comes out moist and tender and delicious!
