Marrakesh Vegetable Curry

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2011
It's true. It is that good. The cinnamon adds something special. Precooking spices is important. Also added fresh coriander. I had been looking for a generic veg curry because I had turnip, potato, green beans, celery, green peppers and zucchini on hand from the garden and of course the onion and garlic. It did not seem to matter. It was delicious. I added a tablespoon of honey (sweet freaks) and 2 chicken bouillon cubes for salt.

Zucchini Bread IV

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2008
Delicious. I used the embellishments from the other folks and it went well. I did not drain the zuchini, it was fresh from the garden so maybe that helped.

Baked Asparagus with Balsamic Butter Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2010
Delicious. Where has this sauce been all my life? I will put this sauce on virtually everything from now on. I thought to myself, over 1000 reviews and bazillions of downloads, how can anything so simple be that good? Well it is.

Cocoa Rum Balls

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2010
Delicious. I mixed almonds and walnuts and ground them in the blender and ground up the vanilla wafers too. I was afraid they would be too strong so I used light rum and used a little less than 1/2 cup. I could barely taste the rum. Next time I;ll go full power and maybe even use dark rum or whiskey for more kick. A great treat.

Butter Chickpea Curry

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2011
Delicious, thanks! Used coconut milk + a little half and half. For the soup I used home canned tomatoes, a bouillon cube, and a teaspoon of sugar. Had to use cauliflower (had no chick peas). The potatoes thicken it nicely. It's not a runny curry, more of a clingy one. As others have said, cooking the spices for several minutes first is important and storing it overnight if possible is even better.

Easy Paella

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2011
Fantastic. Have made it several times. For vegetarians and vegans substitute portabella or any mushrooms for chicken, use soy sausage and leave out shrimp. No problem. Awesome.

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2011
Very very good. Did the suggested switch of one cup of the flour for whole wheat, used 1/4 cup oil, 1/4 cup apple sauce and 1/4 cup butter due to a family wide butter addiction. Used 3 cups of zucchini and an extra 1/2 tsp of cinnamon. You won't regret making this.

Basic Cheesecake

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2011
This turned out fantastic! If you use store bought graham cracker crusts, there will be enough for 2 pies. I accidentally bought neufchatel cream cheese and it did not seem to matter. This was a project that my teenage son and 2 friends did to take a break from homework. I did not help at all and it turned out delicious. It went so well they are going to make another batch tomorrow.

Dad's Leftover Turkey Pot Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2012
Delicious! Only changed the vegies to use what we had on hand. Otherwise stayed to the recipe and the seasoning and consistency were perfect. Store bought dough worked fine.

Creole Seasoning Blend

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2014
Unbelievably delicious. Cut down a bit on the pepper and cayenne. Used with a bay leaf in butter beans with shrimp and it was outstanding.
